Candace is the perfect example that men being better in athletics does not have to be something viewed as sexist. Candace accepts the fact that there are male basketball players who are better than her, and she uses them to her advantage to improve herself. Mad respect

When I was in highschool I was the only girl who played basketball with everyone at lunch. The guys were super cool, miss them. They weren’t afraid to shove me, push me, block me, run up on me. It was probably the most fun I’d had when playing sports. I improved a lot because they weren’t afraid to give it their all, I kept up with them pretty well. PE coach even did Basketball tournaments at our school and I would team with some of the guys I played at lunch with. Our team won and it was hella fun. 👍

@Honest Fan I agree with you, but to be honest it depends on how good the guys are or how good she is. If you watch Paige Bueckers she's a pretty good female basketball player, and I feel like she can hold her ground against some pro male players. But yeah the vast majority of female players won't be able to keep up with males.
@ltzvenomz3416
@ltzvenomz3416 3 жыл бұрын
@Honest Fan When I say hold their own, I'm not saying she will dominate them. There's shit pro players too fam haha. She obviously won't be able to keep up with McDonald's all Americans or NBA players. My whole point of this was that the girl above said she can keep up with her high school basketball friends and I said she probably would. Her high school friends most likely don't play pro and are probably regular people you see at the park playing ball.

When I was in college, the girls' team players would play at the rec with us regular students. They knew how to play the game, but they simply couldn't handle the size and speed of the typical male player (specifically, a male player that wasn't moderately athletic and understood the game). And they knew this. None of the girls I ever played with had an attitude or misunderstood the facts. Heck, even Serena Williams pushed back hard on people that tried to make her equal to male tennis players--she flat-out said they were on another level. Activists, politicians, and people with an agenda are the only ones I ever see telling us not to believe reality.

As one of those 'random guys' who played against two WNBA players a long time ago, Candace does not compare to most players in the league. She has a great touch/muscle memory and decent moves. The two I played against were fairly easy to handle once I picked up on just one of their strengths. No joke. I am not sure if Shaq is correct about lowering the room. The men's game is more than just height and length. There is a certain athleticism that explodes off the floor that is amazing to watch in the men's game that the women's will never equal.

She's one of the GOAT female ballers without a doubt. Grew up balling aginst her bro, who in his own right was a great baller, International star and NBA role player. In some instances, I'm sure she beat him in 1v1 at times. But it wasn't domination. Same with Cheryl and Reggie. She's got the skills of a NBA PF, but she's about 6 inches and 60 lbs undersized. If she was a guy with the same skillsets and size, she'd be relegated to a spot up shooter in the NBA. A WNBA MVP at her peak maaaaaaay compete with a NBA role player. That's the peak comparison, best case scenario, optimum conditions etc. The fact of the matter is, the GOAT WNBA players, even if they magically became "men" overnight, would not be drafted into the NBA solely based on their size, and skillsets. And it's not a slight, it's just that the level of play in the NBA is SO incredibly high. Marcus Nowell set a NCAA assist record in the sweet 16, and still didn't get drafted cuz he small. Size matters in sports.

Women's sports in general should just focus on improving their game to become the best league they can be and a lot more people would watch it. I definitely would, because I love sports and also watch lower men's leagues. Women's soccer (at least in some countries) has already moved from being unwatchable garbage to being actually watchable, but the whole equal pay bullshit just makes at least the US women's national team pretty unlikable. They almost certainly will never get to the same level as the men, but if instead of making unreasonable demands and bitching around they would just focus on improving and promoting their own game, women's leagues could definitely become profitable and the players could earn a pretty decent salary. One key thing would be to lower the hoop for more and better dunks NOW. It would lead to a tough phase with a Lott of missed shots, because the players are used to the current hight, but I'd rather make the transition now and then focus on gaining popularity. They don't really have many fans they could lose at the moment, because of those missed shots. But if they keep the hoop at the same hight, manage to build a fanbase but only then realize to get more popular they need more spectacular dunks, the transition phase might actually cost them many of their fans at that point.

Candace is an All-Time great Women's player, but we all know there are 100's of teen boys on the AAU circuit (future D1's and Pros) that would give her work on the court at their age now...AND you know goodness well there are 1000's of Men in their mid 20's and early 30's that played college ball and didn't make it to the NBA all over the country that are still in top athletic condition and still have game that would dominate any Woman on a court. Men and Women are DIFFERENT ATHLETICALLY! I don't understand why people just won't accept that anymore...its not looking down on or degrading Women at all, Its just stating the obvious...men didn't do this to women, and Femenism can't deny the fact that DNA makes us vastly different when it comes to PHYSICAL ABILITIES! Remember when Brittany Griner said she could beat Demarcus Cousins...yes that pre-career ending injuries, All-NBA Team Demarcus Cousins! And you could tell from the bottom of her heart that she REALLY believed what she was saying! Demacus is 6'11 and 270lbs, strong as an Ox, and way quicker that her...even AFTER he blow out his knee! He would have obliterated Brittany Griner...hell he would have beat 2 Brittany Griner's in a game of 2on1 by himself.

It should be mentioned that Candace’s father was a Big Ten basketball player at Iowa and her brother was an NBA player so her skills have been sharpened by men since childhood.

The guy isn’t even challenging her, it’s more like a ‘shoot around’ before a game….
