Reese plays thugball but CC plays basketball as it should be played. She is fun to watch. I attended Fever games in the late 90’s because they played real basketball. They were fun to watch. Then the Detroit team hired Laimbeer as coach and he introduced thugball and it caught on. I haven’t been interested in the WNBA since then. Until now. The Fever are fun to watch again. If the WNBA was smart (which they haven’t proved so far) they would forget about race, gender, sexual orientation and social justice and concentrate how to take advantage of this once-in-a-lifetime player. Otherwise they will fad back into insignificance.

I think she could be a dominate player by A'ja age and experience. She is a POWERFUL FORCE even as a rookie, which is impressive! Her 19 assists in last game is off the hook for a rookie. She is a TEAM player, not a ball HOG. There is SHINE all over her teammates from her unselfish assists. The Fever team is young, but talented. I think they have a REAL shot of the Playoff's! I heard Taurasi might not play or play very little because of injuries. But she is the GOAT looking to break Gold Metal history. With all the hate and pushback, those women are just setting up Caitlin’s story to be legendary. Think about it, we all know she’s going to be one of the greats at the very least. But now, she’ll have the narrative where she achieved her status despite all the shenanigans lol

At the end of the game, do they tally up all the rebounds to determine which team won? I thought that the point of basketball was to score the ball into the basket. If you're catching rebounds, it's because you didn't score. The cope is real.

This reminds me of those movies where a "good" cop is assigned to a precinct full of "dirty" cops. He's a pariah initially because he won't go along with the 'rest of the guys' and take bribes etc. but, eventually, the precinct gets cleaned up because of his work and the cop-posers all go away. ...I'm waiting for the 'go away' part to start.

Well said..... to be a big and shoot a low 40% is really bad. If Reese was shooting 60 % and grabbing double figure rebounds I would say she has a claim for rookie of the year. But how she is playing is not good.

Eh, screw them all. Put Caitlin in the WNBA on the worst team with the worst coach...and what does she do? She breaks records. She will go down in history as one of the greatest basketball players to ever play the game...and people will still hate her for it.

While I do kinda agree, there are haters and gatekeepers on the men’s side too. It’s more that *these* women are jealous gatekeepers- not that this is the case for women in general. I’m pretty sure if another top star emerges CC herself (also a woman) would be out there trash talking them. Of these, I actually do like Angel. She’s pretty fun to watch.

I love how people are saying Reese is better than Clark, when Clark leads the league in points, assists, steals and blocks. BLOCKs. Reese is a center, and Clark has more blocks than her. Yes, Reese is DEFINITELY better than Clark, my bad.

The jealousy that Clark is getting is crazy. I laugh every time I see that Angel Reese press conference. You ARE NOT the other reason why WNBA attendance is growing! Yes its because of ONE person…..Clark. Also Diana Taurasi for you to pick Paige Bueckers over Clark is crazy. Even tho Clark didn’t win the national championship but she took a college like Iowa who has never been to the final 4 to back to back Final 4 and a national championship appearance is more impressive then then what Diana did in UConn. Like you said that roster was pretty much already there for her.

I commend Clark for being so calm and using the hate she gets as a vessel to become stronger. Tho sometimes I wish she would trashtalk people like Larry Bird and get into their head to f their mind. Most of the hate is because she is such a good player and the others don't know how to stop her because they are lacking.
