This is the most sexist take I've seen in a while. The only 'hater' I've seen is Swoops. Saying 'there's going to be a big adjustment from college to the WNBA, everyone goes through it, I went through it' is not hating. It is reality. Caitlin had a pretty good first game (21 pts, 2 assists) for a rookie. Had she had that same game in college everyone would be calling it a bad game so it looks like Taurasi and Bird were 100% spot on. Are you planning a video on all the NBA and former NBA players 'hating' on NBA rookies by saying they'll need to put on the big boy pants? You going after Barkley for what he's said about some of the incoming talent like Joker and Wembanyama? You going to go back and to call out Kareem and Bird for the things they've said about incoming talent not knowing what they were getting into?

The reason she has freedom to pull the trigger is because she makes them …. Most wnba players have to throw the ball to get it to the rim at that distance….its simple, the league makes more money the players get payed more….if u go by value of a product then the wnba players r already getting payed more then they should…the wnba hasn’t EVER made a profit infact the nba has had to support the wnba…if it wasn’t for nba players there wouldn’t be a wnba because they r a money pit.its just facts…people dont like facts these days

This kind of drama is often seen in High School Homecoming Queen contests, but these grown women should have outgrown that. And what was Diana Taurasi talking about when she said she preferred Paige Bueckers over Clark. Paige wasn't in this year's draft! Also, would DT and Briana Stewart have felt the same if CC had played for UConn rather than Iowa? If the WNBA wants to be taken seriously they need to grow up.

These folks pushing the “they’re just insecure and jealous of Clark because of the focus and opportunities coming her way”. Of course Clark is getting more opportunities. I don’t think that was a surprise to anyone. OMG, where would the WNBA be if this kind of focus and the opportunities had been part of the WNBA all along? But I digress - why should the WNBA be any different than any other part of our society? When the narrative becomes they’re just “insecure or jealous” of Clark from folks like LeBron James, Steven Smith, Shannon Clark, Charles Barkley, and others it’s just sad. Ladies of the WNBA as tRump told LeBron and others to just “shut up and play ball”. Technical foul if you express opinions or speak your truth. Welcome to 2024 version of “shut up and play ball. Clark is very talented and is only trying to play ball, build her skills, make money. She appears to be grounded and has a supportive family. She will need that support to help tune out the noise of whirlwind that is her life now. I wish her the best along with all the other talented young ladies that entered the WNBA.

In Capitalism, money talks, and she’s a financial multiplier because she sells merch and fills stands for the WNBA. Pre-CC WMBA games in which Swoops played had sparsely filled seats, and few media outlets promoted the league, with some even used embarassed voices when reporting on the league. No more. It seems to me that CC is uplifting the league’s popularity and finances. Swoopes lied about CC’s yeas and accomplishments in the college.

People like her cause she is confident in her ability but doesn't rub it others faces and not arrogant. She is the underdog from Iowa State not known for basketball as well as her WNBA team. She is hard worker and perfectionist like Steph Curry and Kobe Bryant and Michael Jordan. She has willpower and tenacity and will not let anything stop her. She is a nice decent human being that doesn't talk trash about anybody. She shows she appreciate her fans and really loves the game for the game itself. She shoots like nobody's business. Broke the shooter record for male and female college shooting. Her being as good as she is and as humble and grounded as she is a breath of fresh air a rarity not seen much anymore. People can feel the person she is even from behind the screen. People know greatness when they see it. They are witnessing history and a legend in the making. We are on this ride along with her to greatness.

Yes! For sure! I saw the black sportscaster former player intentionally praising the black women in Clark’s 2nd preseason game and ignoring Clark’s plays! It’s pure racist! So gross! 🤮

I don’t think browns comment were negative. I think you’ve took them out of context. She was saying that she never seen anyone with that kind of freedom. And she was hoping that Clark would be successful and it would allow more players to get that sort of freedom. Basically, it’s more about the Steph curry type of gameplay.

While alot of WNBA players are clearly jealous, I have no qualms with anyone saying she's not the GOAT or even the college GOAT.
@MrSoulauctioneer
@MrSoulauctioneer Ай бұрын
definitely the college goat. Her team hadn't been to the Final Four in 30 years. So what she didnt win the ring. She beat both defending champions. Her passing and range shooting are second to none. And even though she's not a defensive standout, her contribution goes under-reported. Name the player, they don't have as many records or awards. She also made her teammates better. GOAT is a term to describe an individual. Rings are a term to describe a team. She is the first female basketball player to win the Sullivan award twice and she did it consecutively, oh did I say female? I didnt mean that part. BEST COLLEGE ATHLETE IN AMERICA two years in a row.. Name the woman, Clark outperformed them. Therefore, she IS the GOAT of NCAA D1 WOMEN"S BASKETBALL. Sorry if you can't accept that the sky is blue, and bullshit stinks.

Paige IS a terrific player, but to say you would draft her over Caitlyn is just hatin'!

if she said it when they were freshman, she would be applauded. But Paige got hurt, and I don't think she has produced like she did her freshman year, when her and Clark shared Freshman of the Year.

I don't watch college and pro team sports. The low ticket sales and recognition in the WNBA warrants their teams performance and continuity. With Caitlan going pro you've already seen the Savior and rise in their audience attendance. The colored players should be thankful someone has saved their sport. Rather than envious and jealous. I never watched a WNBA game but I will watch all of the Indiana games while she's playing. But then its all about the color!

OK, creeps of CourtCulture. Here you go. DianaTaurasi won 3 Consecutive NCAA Women's Basketball Championships, the WNBA Rookie of the Year Award (2004), three WNBA championships (2007, 2009, and 2014), a historic five Olympic gold medals (2004, 2008, 2012, 2016 and 2020), one WNBA Most Valuable Player Award (2009), two WNBA Finals MVP Awards (2009 and 2014), five scoring titles (2006, 2008, 2009, 2010, and 2011), and three FIBA World Cups (2010, 2014, and 2018). She has also been selected to ten WNBA All-Star teams and fourteen All-WNBA teams (including ten first-team selections). In 2011, she was voted by fans as one of the WNBA's Top 15 Players of All Time, and was named by the league to its 20th and 25th anniversary teams, respectively the WNBA Top 20@20 in 2016 and The W25 in 2021. Also in 2021, she was selected by fans as the league's greatest player of all time. On June 18, 2017, Taurasi became the WNBA all-time leading scorer and on June 27, 2021, became the first player to surpass 9,000 points. On August 3, 2023, Taurasi became the first player to score 10,000 career points. Your girl, Clark, not so much yet. Not sayin' it's not possible, just improbable. OK, you can go back to jackin' off to your crush.
