Anybody who’s not saying CC is being disingenuous. She is objectively a clear cut winner of this award. Anybody saying it’s a tossup or they would be OK with Angel Reese winning is pushing the narrative, and they’re trying to make the WNBA seem more interesting and better than it is. CC has brought many eyes, but this is still a subpar form of entertainment.

Clear cut? They both give a significant impact to their teams when they are on the floor. But Clark shooting a better percentage from 2 point range is shocking. If Reese converts more of her attempts then her ppg would go up and it would be less comparable. It is a race because they are both great. Disingenuous is saying what you said.

Not just for a first-year player, but for any player. but people always leave that out and be quick to say reese only has all those rebounds because she getting them from her own misses not realizing that doesn't make her look bad but actually makes her opponents look bad for not being able to stop her from getting those rebounds

Angel Reese is manufactured hype for the artificial people who watch the WNBA for reasons other than the sport. Angel Reece may be the worst 'basketball player' in the WNBA. She is tall, and slightly athletic, so she can consistently get her own rebounds. However, in this era of basketball, with zero real defense, she should be shooting well over the 40% that she shoots. That being said, CC is double/tripled teamed everytime she has the ball, and is consistently making herself known as the best player on every court she steps on.
