WO1 Hologram

The city of Leuven commissioned us to create an installation at the city cemetery, in an underground crypt where victims of WO1 rest. We decided to create a holographic animation, in which the Belgian soldiers as well as the civilian casualties are commemorated.

I actually know this crypth very well. There is ONE moment during daytime, that the sunlight suddenly penetrates through a tiny porthole with aa sharp beaam projecting a spot on the floor.... yes, reminicent to so many adventure movies... ehh, sorry: the other way around .. :-) (I'm not talking about a hologram now, but about what happens every day again)

pepper ghost effect, bounced projection from the ceiling
