One can never fully understand Europe until one has lived there. It truly is that magical. And tonight my heart aches to go back. Fresh bread and a café. Heaven lies in those small things.

We who live in large cities have no appreciation for this kind of life. It looks like heaven on earth to me! Why would you want to live on the 80th floor of a skyscraper overlooking Central Park, when you could live in Umbria?

At around 23:00 these are not "chicken livers", these are hearts - livers don't get a fat crown and are much softer and never triangular.

the woman does not say they are livers. she just chops them. the voice says they are livers which is weird
@stellanevis31074 жыл бұрын
Lou Coconut same mistake with their docu about France. They said livers where it's actually kidneys. Also I have read complaints that voice over is different than what is actually being said. Nevertheless nice documentary.

Salt adds a lot to bread, unsalted bread is a tradition that is questionable for sure..I’m sure it’s great with salty foods, but unsalted bread has a different flavor and texture.
@formantvalue55843 жыл бұрын
I eat this kind of bread since I was a kid and I can tell that I prefer this instead of salted bread, it's all about your habits. Besides, the unsalted one is different not only in the flavor, but in the consistency as well. As an Italian living in the Uk for study, I can defenetly tell you that everytime i come back in Umbria, so I have the chance to eat this bread again, for me is pure heaven.
