Beautiful performances. Thank you! I have to say, however, that what I assume are “forehead microphones” on the principal singers in the Verdi bit are a bit distracting. Makes me think of Star Trek Klingons. If this is the new normal in opera I’m sure I’ll adapt, just as I would if actual Klingons were walking among us😊

Oh but you missed out the most beautiful aria of all, Senza Momma from Suor Angelica, by of course Puccini. Although a lifelong lover of classical music and Opera I had never heard this aria until several years ago. I heard it on an episode of Inspector Morse, his love of Opera was well known. It took me awhile to track down exactly what it was but since then I cannot get it out of my head. There are many fine performances but perhaps my favorite is sung by Mirella Freni.
