I know you're judging life depending on how you see comfort on your experience and knowledge and this is how you taught from your curriculum and your seniors but again life is different than that. You guys eating decorated sugary sweets, you have an access for different kind baths shower saunas and you wear what ever you like not to mention that you can get the best health service as long as you paid your insurance but are you guys happy, grateful, content on what you have don't forget you are not entitled all these things because you're citizens you should have to work until you sweat blood as I told my English is very bad couldn't to write with few words that can explain my opinion. In Africa we are laughing for real and also sad without covering ,mental health is to the roof ,living in the west makes you greedy and just want more and more no satisfaction at all .so sorry if I made mistake.

I keep telling the relatives in my family, especially the younger ones, that America is not the proper place to have a black family or raise children. It's ok to have a job and make a living and the individual freedom is great. But for our black men, women and children as soon as they step out that door and into society it's an emotional and psychological hellhole. It's devastating to the mind, body and soul. How sad that by the age of 18,so many of the spirits of our children are broken despite the best efforts of many of their family members to love, comfort and support them.Because we are such a strong people, the psychological toll occurs much later in our 40s&50s.I am 64 yrs old now with no children but I can't tell you how many black men my age and younger are so beaten down and worn out.I keep my sanity by helping others wherever I can.My father had the remarkable foresight, being a career military man,to bring his 3 children along while on furlough to visit various countries around the world.Japan, cambodia, senegal, ghana,Cameroon and Mexico just to name a few.Live someplace where you think you be will be happy, loved and respected,he said to us 3.Sometimes it's not always about the money,he said.So when some family members challenge me as to where else we can raise our children, I tell them moving forward we better find out.It has to be a gradual thing to test the waters outside the Usa.Other groups have that option. Why shouldn't we.Gradually rebuild the bridge back to the continent.I have said for 40 yrs that the hate culture that has existed in America for centuries will always rear its ugly head during times of economic anxiety and decline. At some point it will be permanent and trust me those groups who have been despised for centuries in America will be the first casualties. If you look at history, genocide happens in stages sometimes the spark ignited a century before the actual event.Trust me brothers&sisters, there is a reason why the Jewish people worked hard to create the state of Israel as well as strengthen their presence in America and the rest of the world to thus prevent another holocaust. As African-Americans if we want the world to take notice and take us seriously we had better do the same.

This is a beautiful story...period. Black Americans moving "back" to Africa is a beautiful thing. But it must be done in a measured and well-thought out way. It could lead to tensions if it happens too fast and without giving the local populations enough time to get used to the idea. I am from Kenya living in the US and am planning my move back home. Already, I have seen tensions in Kenya between Kenyans who have never left the country and those who left and are coming back. Many are able to go back home since the constitution was changed in 2010 to allow dual citizenship. Before that, if you became a citizen of another country you had to renounce Kenyan citizenship. Those who renounced Kenyan citizenship are now being allowed to regain it as dual citizens. Many had chosen to retain their Kenyan citizenship and just live as permanent residents in the US. Most who are coming back bring money with them and are able to afford a lifestyle that is well beyond the reach of most of those who have never left. The money coming back fast has been a major contributor to the skyrocketing property prices in choice areas around major metro areas and especially at the coast. And this is beginning to cause some tensions. People are well aware of who the returning Kenyans are. Whether it is because of the way we dress, or our rusty Swahili or, for some, completely gone local languages, or because of an acquired foreign English accent, I have become more and more aware that we stick out like a sore thumb. And I have felt a barely muted resentment that seems to grow more every time I am back home. It is disturbing, especially because I have made an extra effort to "fit in" as best I can. I'm still planning to move back in a few years to begin retirement but I have to admit that I am looking at the prospect of feeling less "at home" in my home country than I do here in the US! The irony of it is just amusing...at best!

Maybe you can start or form a coalition movement with like minded countrymen and other Intra-African citizens along with us African Diasporans, both emigres and Outside Africa Nativists to raise awareness of the irrationality, injustices and the undermining of togetherness and community that are elicit and exuded from these actions and attitudes to foster a united front to mobilize to end dissension in Kenya, and to which the messaging might resonate in other countries with similar scenarios. You can use the inspiration of the successful African entrepreneurs highlighted by Wode who give back to compound the coalition message for the future economic livelihood and growth of the continent, particularly Black African nations as a template for the outcomes of healthy attitudes within us for the notions of internal processes and steps toward restoration and healing.Make a vid to educate us all with level headedness, thouroughness and articulate efforts to bridge understanding because without these will come grave consequences to hamper the success of all Africans. African success is the core and key imperative for all Africans and Black Africans abroad. Persistence is much required to this end, which is to our ascendancy in the world stage. Much love. Stay strong.Stay Just.😊✌❤❤

I can't say how it is in Kenya... But I suggest you live first in the big cities, and then acquire property in the country and re-acculturate gradually.. It is the same everywhere in the world when you move to a land whose customs you have either lost or never knew, you have to learn until you blend in, then you no longer stick out. Be gradual rather than forceful... If you have the resource, put up a social development project, carve your name in their hearts and you would never be an outsider. In Nigeria, I have seen Caucasians come in and learn the local creol dialect ( pidgin English) or est local food and they easily enter circles they wouldn't dear enter without those elements... I believe you get the drift.

I feel so proud as an African when I see such stories, and long may we continue to welcome home our Elders and our Brothers and Sisters. Knowing what goes on in the West to us as black people and minorities, it is very warming to see them living their best life in a space where they don’t feel any form of unnecessary pressures. But also the potential and knowledge combination between the locals and the Diasporas is something that will be of great value to the continent. Welcome I have seen some even move to my Home Tanzania 🇹🇿 and its truly amazing 🙏🏾
