The denial is great with these people. It's not "unfair" when the project(s) are poorly written, sadly implemented and filled with agendas that the larger viewing public see as highly unnecessary and are not wanted. JTS, like the others, need to understand that opening the brand to a "wider audience" means the possibility of alienating the greater audience(majority), which leaves the target audience (minority) being insufficient to cover costs. They also need to admit to themselves that just because THEY like something does not mean anyone else is obligated to as well. If they want to hold that line, then understand there will be people who enjoy Lucas' vision of engaging entertainment without the preaching more, and move on. We won't be supporting crap productions on streaming or in the theaters.

Star Wars was diverse already. There was only 4 white male main characters in the original trilogy. All the rest were women or alien species. In the prequel trilogy there were more aliens and women on the Jedi council than human men. The clone was show featured a different alien species as the main focus point each arc. In the sequel trilogy apart from reused characters from the original trilogy how many were not human that you could name? To say this is because the “fake fans”(which in my opinion are the people who were fans even before the prequels) don’t like diversity is ridiculous. We just don’t like bad storytelling and breaking the established lore that we all grew up to know and love.

K I watched the acolyte and to me it wasn't good. I didn't hate it but it wouldn't get any recommendations from me. But I'll say this from the very start... I saw NOTHING employing a chance for diversity or anything that would cause people to be racist or sexist in any way. So for the actress to claim that it was voted terrible for that reason alone is nothing short of a toxic person using the race or gender card as an excuse for her own piss poor acting. Before I saw this, I wouldn't have said anything. But there is no excuse for being an all around bad person and parading it around while asking for praise or an apology. The series was bad... Get Over it! There were a few things I liked in it, but all in all. The acting was boring, the characters forgettable, and the story was poor at best. Then trying to cash grab with the look at Yoda at the end was just a petty attempt to ramp people up for a second season that nobody asked for or wanted. Am I disappointed it's cancelled, not at all. Do I blame the actress... I sure as hell do now.

Since 1977. That is how long some fans have been invested both financially and emotionally in the Star Wars Universe. And when I say invested, I'm talking about collectibles, books, stories, fan art, fan films, video games, family vacations and so much more. To the point that the some fans made it their lives to become a part of its creation and development. They educated themselves with whatever they needed to in order to help create special effects, new story arches, books, live action and virtual worlds. Its the 'worlds' that is the key word here. An entire universe that IS NOT like the world, OUR UNIVERSE, that we live in. And there in lies the point. I am am a huge believer in peoples right to choose who, how and what they love, especially LGBTQ rights. I march, donate and support always, BUT, the Star Wars universe IS NOT OUR UNIVERSE. It is purposely created to NOT BE OUR UNIVERSE that has xenophonias, racism, sexism and all the other crap we choose to put on each other. With that, a universe that has been created and cultivated to NOT BE OUR UNIVERSE need not have the ilk of our universe put on it for no other reason than the history, shame and ignorance is not ours to put on it.
