Whether or not there are "toxic male fans" is irrelevant. The reality comes down to whether their shows make or lose money. Right now, Star Wars is struggling to find a way to make anything profitable. Their DEI/LGBT agenda has turned off the consumer base. Disney might as well sell the entire Lucas franchise--seriously. That's the only path to profitability so that another studio can rebrand the product without a controversial agenda. But that might also be "selling low."

This is not the case when customers don't buy a product because they simply don't like it and are choosing to buy other products.
