Her interviews before that even began, including taking swipes at the original beloved animation, were enough to completely derail the movie - and practically ensure its failure. In the original story of the Princess and the frog the princess was white so that’s another race swap. I’m all for DEI but in should be done on new material with new characters not race swapping. “Who is the most just?” Certainly not this Snow White! Instead of her being kind, fair and helpful enough to tidy up the cottage she makes the dwarves do it after a hard day of work. Whistle while you work became “You do all the work while I prance around the place. And cheerfully berate you to help you set the pace” That’s not very “just” or fair. Disney probably couldn’t fire her but could probably sue her.

Well, with the case of Princess and the Frog, at least they changed enough of the story that it's kind of its own thing, so Tiana makes more sense in that version. DEI would be better suited if writers wrote the story and character with them in mind. Changing their race would piss off fans of the source material, and we've seen that constantly throughout the past few years. When I saw that clip, I thought she came off as condescending. I haven't watched the original movie in a while, but if I remember correctly, Snow White cleans that cottage because she thinks it is a house with orphaned children and wants to show some kindness. They should've just cancelled the whole thing altogether.
