I work in the travel industry and we usually book a lot of people to Paris this time of year. Definitely been a major drop. Main reason imo: overcharging. Hotels were so greedy thinking they would be coining it that they bumped the prices up by 400%-600%. Paris pushed its normal city tax up by almost 200%. They ditched the normal metro passes in favour of more expensive options. That, combined with all the closures of streets for the Olympics and predictions that it would be so crowded you won't move, and people thought: hell no! Why go there and be cheated? I don't blame them.

The heads of the IOC and the French Olympic Committee need to be in prison. The conditions for the athletes and the opening ceremony were and are criminal. Also whoever is supplying the food and preparing the meals should be in prison too. The people in charge of this Olympics are totally incompetent.
