DON'T KILL WOLF SPIDERS! These guys are chill as fuck and they're great at killing other nasties you might find in your back yard... they kill other spiders for fun! In Australia, Q-tips are called "cotton buds." I was a Yank (USA native, i.e.) visiting pals near Melbourne. In the house, up on the wall, was a nice-sized Wolf spider. The guys there swore to me that the spider was "harmless." I decided to test that theory by ***gently*** placing a Q-tip's cotton end within reach of the spider. Instantaneously, giant fangs came out, left and right, and embedded themselves deep in the Q-tip. Hahaha. Yeah. Very funny.

This was an amazing video. I've become a bit obsessed with spiders. Jumping spiders. But in becoming obsessed with watching them I've seen other videos. I've seen a lot of videos about wolf spiders but I've never seen one where it shows her digging her burrow. I've never seen a spider use its Fangs for anything but eating and killing and injecting. It's kind of makes them more motherly. And she's making herself a nice home like any woman would want. Thank you for sharing this video with us. They are some scary looking spiders but they're also very necessary and I'm becoming more and more aware of how much they helped us compared to how much they can hurt us. I've learned that from Clint's reptiles and Tyler Nolan's videos and Chandler's videos. Just because animals can hurt us doesn't make them bad. And they're not vicious their defensive. See I'm learning already. Thank you for your video

I got bit by a wolf spider back in like 2004-05 at BAND CAMP. Got infected the my knee got to the size of a softball. I was in the hospital for a couple of days :(
@James-22487 жыл бұрын
Actually it was your fault that the bite got infected, the spider was just defending itself

Sorry to disappoint you mate, we don't make such videos. To spell it out all over again. this vid production took over 3 weeks of just observing these spiders before even picking up the cameras, You can see other broadcasters who make videos by forcing a collision between species or "ripping off legs" etc. The only "added" material was some of the sound effects.

I finished fishing and turned my headlamp on and saw hundreds of green glowy things in the grass. I was like oh sick I wonder what that is and leaned over and was like AYO. It was hundreds of wolf spiders and as I walked away I saw them retreat into burrows or walk out of my way. Very cool
