I'm 55 and agree. Only became aware of them first on the soundtrack of Trainspotting 2 movie ("Silk"). They've just won the prestigious Mercury Music Prize for "Visions of Life" beating amongst others Arctic monkeys and Noel Gallagher .. they're going to get huge now! Glad I've got tickets for their tour already.

I can't even express how much I love this band. Such a 90's sound, and in a good way. With all the garbage out there these days, artists with no talent, etc. Wolf Alice gives me faith in modern music. Rock on. And to you younger fans, most of the older people in their 40's and early 50's posting here (like myself) are Gen X NOT Boomers and yes there is a big difference.

I think Ellie is writing these melodies--and that's the heart of this band's success. Lyrics, too. The rest of the the band is outstanding at their roles, but the tune is the thing. And, of course, her amazing voice. That's what sets them apart.

I love the concert footage but it might have gone better with a different song IMO. Heavenward is such a beautiful song and sentiment I think it would go better with video like dreamy skyscapes and scenic vistas. I was riding my bike in the country side when this song came on and it was magical.
