Overall, it was a nice review. My fan switch just quit about a month ago, so I've been watching the temps as well. As of now, I have 370 hours and got mine Sep of 2022 with 2 other issues that were fixed under warranty.

A marine grade switch like mine is a good solution. Get thoae things anywhere. Or a new sensor to keep things tidy.

@thefirewooddoctor I think I will do just that as I have had the battery go dead twice, and the only thing I can think of is the fan was running at some point.

I have the same but newer model. Save your money on the extension bars. Get the ram limiter. It’s adjustable and saves a ton of time in the long run.

With a 6.5sec cycle-time, a stroke limitee would save me 1sec or so? I'll save the $ and put it towards a firewood conveyor.

@@thefirewooddoctor depends on what your doing. If you’re doing 16in pieces yup. But if you’re doing mini firewood it’s more like 3-4 seconds. My wood yard is in a residential area so a conveyer is not an option for me.

@@thefirewooddoctor the time it will save me for $200 is worth it.

@jon51 mini firewood on horizontal splitters like ours is a pain. I only do it for myself and a special firewood client. The 16in wood could be 18in, if I screw up. Besides, I can only work so fast and not wear myself out prematurely. For mini firewood, I run my splitter at half-throttle. Gives me a safety factor by slowing things down.
