Thanks for the info, I've been having problems with my light. I called and they are sending me one. Dewalt wants the old one back but they're sending me a postage paid label and they don't need the old one before I get the new one, so I can use the box, when it comes. Now that's service!!

2023 Update Despite being a Big De Walt customer they were totally disinterested in sorting this problem out ! Put me through to an agent in Reading who said BUY A NEW ONE ! Great customer service i don't think !

Hi there mate, yes dewalt is an awesome company. I've had battery gone bad and they had replaced them within 3 years. I have 4 of this little guy. (Now 3, lost one at a the job with a 5ah battery :( I find them at fleamarkets for $20 each and the thing is I modify them for my use. These are 110 lumes and I make them for 25 watt, 35 watt or 50 watt equipment to 500 lumes. I have one for home, one in the work truck and there's a backup.

How long are the batteries lasting when you modify them to 500🤔

@@wolfeman1966 haven't test it yet, I just usually use for shorts periods of time (5, 10 minutes), like going up in the attic or dark rooms. I use flash lights everyday but I am more of a headlamps person.

@@Coxfame 😂 me too, I used to be a sparky( electrician ) and needed loads of lights when doing a house retire. So I bought head lights to give me hands free. I’ve even bought the 500 Lumes type but start fading after 5 /10 mins.

@@wolfeman1966 I've modify ryobis flashlight, old 18v dewalt flashlights (they still work) and now the 20v, I use feit mr16 12v landscape from homedepot (that seems to handle the voltage pretty well). That should be an easy modification for u. I am also a sparky.

My LED light stopped working. Battery is charged but light will not come on. Can you buy and replace the LED in the light? Tks

I didn’t find a way to get into the head. So I called the company up. They just sent out a new one for free. Hope that helps 👍🏽

Marie L. Barajas easy search the company name on google and give them a call. They will send you a new one. Be respectful to them and polite. Let me know how you get on .😊👍🏽

Yep mines the same but now hardly comes on at all,I was hoping this was a fix video as my torch is probably older than 7 yrs,gutted as it's a great torch

Sorry it’s not a fix … but you could always play devils advocate and call them. Be polite, respectful and tell them what a fantastic product they have and how it’s helped you through dark times..👍🏽😂 They may just send you one out. If you don’t ask, you won’t receive. So what caused it to stobe? Mine is a 2011 and it's now 2022 so no 7yr warranty. The strobe just doesn't make any sense.

I hear you, it doesn’t make any sense. When it started happening I thought I had put it into that mode..!! But I think it just a LED fault… probably made in China. I’ve heard and seen LED street lights which are white, then after a year or so turn a blue. Who really knows why, truly..?? But with a free replacement, I’m happy 👍🏽👍🏽

@@robert574 I’m someone who will never say never. I would contact the company first and tell them how awesome there unit was that I got for Christmas, Father’s Day or my birthday…. But I don’t understand why it’s not doing, or doing something it shouldn’t be doing…. If you know what I mean 👍🏽 They may say send it in for repair, or we’ll swap it out.. Give them a chance first and be extra respectful. If you don’t ask you won’t know..!?
