I completely agree with the shade. Rock Iguana’s need an area with complete and total shade. They’re beautiful Jerry. And I’m glad to see Kagen so excited for them as she gave up so much to come here.

They should also remember to pay attention to the name in how they furnish and decorate. ROCK Iguanas.( Not Wood Iguanas 🙃) They need piles of boulders to sun on, scramble around and hide in etc.

Dave Durham tip I used for my aggressive male rock iguana; get him a plush lizard stuffed animal that is his size or slightly smaller. They go to town on it and get out their frustration. I would leave them separated until they are much larger but at least they will both be happy

I’m sure they would be fine next to the monitors kenan had slinky next to all his rock iguanas and slinky is a tank but I know kagan wants them as close to her as possible. Those iguanas are gonna get huge in no time ..I’m sure kagan is gonna spoil them and have them out all the time and have them puppy dog tame in no time .. I’m so happy for u guys .I’m enjoying all the videos ! Thanks Jerry and kagan ! I can’t wait to see this beautiful property evolve in the coming years! 👽🤙

Hey Jerry and Kagan, Man that's awesome. I SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO miss my Green Iguana. I adopted her at just under 4 feet and she grew to be a little over 6 1/2 feet. Her name was Rita, her owner before me gave her the name. Unfortunately my landlord at the time decided he didn't like her after 4 years and told me I had to get rid of her. I built 2 incredible cages for her that moved with her to her new owner, who last I had checked, still had her, that was just last year when I was visiting Vancouver. When I adopted her she was close to over 3 years old, that was around 2006. She was still alive last year when I was in Vancouver, so I guess that makes her about 21 years old now. Still very healthy. Seems to remember me everytime I'm in Vancouver and visit her and her owner(s), a couple, they're married a few years ago. It's amazing how long Iguanas can live up to. Probably one of the longest lifespans for lizards. She's beautiful. Always bright green with some red hues along her sides and tail. Her belly was a yellowish green. So docile. Hand tamed very well. I would open her cage and put my arm out and she would crawl onto it and perch on my shoulders. I used to take her out for walks that way with a medium small dog harness for her and used to walk her on a leash outside in the summer for the real sunlight and great exercise for her. She loved going to the beach and walking on the sand, and people were amazed by her. Here in Canada, it's only warm enough for them outside for about 4 to 5 months a year. I was living in Vancouver, BC at the time. In the summer I had a cage outside for her that I would put her in during the day and bring her in as the sun went down at night because it's too cool at night there to keep her outside. She loved when she would be outside and there would be a rain shower for a few minutes each day, which happens in Vancouver at a certain part of the summer. She loved laying in the grass and soaking up the sun, but never had any interest in eating the grass. I built her outdoor cage around an apple tree I had planted and would keep it trimmed and shaped to make big perches for her. The odd time she would have a bite of an apple but never seemed to be a big fan of apples. Loved Kale, Collard Greens, Avocado, Romaine Lettuce, Watermelon, Cantaloupe, loved Blueberries, raspberries, and banana, but they shouldn't eat lots of fruit each day, its more of a treat. Sometimes I was able to get Cactus Leaves and Aloe Leaves, which she used to go mad for. So get your cactus planted near there cage cause Cubans and Rock Iguanas love both to. I used to supplement her diet with crickets, worms, she once grabbed a garter snake that was in her cage and ate it. It was dead in her mouth when I saw it, and they do eat small animals and eggs of birds sometimes, it's totally harmless for them. Used to give her soft boiled quail eggs usually once a week during the fall and winter when she was inside. She wouldn't eat veggies dusted in calcium, (ReptaVita), so I would soft boil the eggs and mash them with the shells and put the ReptVita in them. Summertime I would give them to her but about every 2 weeks. Being outside in the daytime under the sun she didn't need it but I just wanted to be sure her bones were full of calcium. What they don't absorb they just poop it out. Man I miss having all the snakes, lizards, fish, and other creatures I used to keep. If I could convince my wife to stay in the Philippines I would buy acres of land and my early retirement job would be what you're doing there. I would love to breed and keep all kinds of lizards, snakes, turtles, fish. My place would be a combination of your place mixed with Kenan's, Tom Crutchfields, Chandler's. All outdoor natural enclosures with whatever each kind of animal needed, space, water, plants, dwellings, you name it. All in enclosures that were made to be natural as possible in everyway. I wouldn't get into gators or crocs, just too big and too much risk. Maybe some smaller caiman, like Kenan's, which would be my pets and also breeding for reintroduction I would bring AquaScape and Ed the Pond Professor over for a few months and build, build, build for every animal I would already have and would want to get. Breed for reintroduction as well as for the pet trade, and all registered and legal with their own paperwork for every animal. I would be in heaven on earth. That's why I watch your channel, Kenan, Chandler, Dingo Dinkleman, Tom Crutchfield (when he posts). You are all doing what I would love to be doing. So happy to see you with some Iguana's, they truly are a reptile all of their own. Matt - Toronto, Canada

the airplanes are awesome by the way did you know you can crazy glue them to rock or wood And it's safe to do it's safe for the animals because people use it in aquariums to attach plants to rocks and wood otherwise known as heartscape. and is completely safe you want to use the gorilla gel works best and once it's in place spray it down a little bit of water to harden it and that'll hold the plants in place you might want to wrap some sphagnum moss around the roots to help them retain moisture and then you can tie that in place with some cotton thread simple way to do it and then you can use that to keep the plants moist and spray it down and water it down and it will be great and what you want to do is any of pond water you have grab a couple of tub folds that you can fill up and put into your spray bottles or spray canisters the big pump ones and sprayed your air plants down with that and that will give them the nutrients they need to continue growing. I hope this information helps you i'm sure Kagan knows some of this stuff but I figured I'd pass it on as a as a an Aquarius who has used crazy glue the gorilla glue the gel to attach airplants to hardscape and I've even attached to a coconut mat as a backdrop in my terrarium and they did wonderful there I had an orchid I had two airplanes I forget the type and Salagna salad selling jill I forget how it's pronounced now But it's a moss that did really well live moss and I also had the Oak Leaf fig climbing fig which is a type of Ficus ficus Pimula and boy there's that stuff spread once against established and it loved the coconut fiber to climb on it had a blast with that it had little air roots that would dig into that and just held onto it it would hold the moisture for a while but it would also hold nutrients I used to sprinkle a little bit of volcanic rock dust into it and they just went nuts for it their roots went nuts and I also had some bermilia ads as well that love the stuff and grew into the map so it was a really nice terrain I eventually got some ferns various different types of small ferns and unfortunately I went into the hospital and everything died while I was there Nobody knew water it's unfortunately. the great thing about these plants being attached to some hardscape is the fact that you can move the hardscape anywhere you need to and the plant stays with it so you don't have to worry about replanting it it just is you can add more plants to the to the heartscape you get losses you get any kind of wart like liver wart so on and so forth to that as well so they're not going to look really bare branches they can be covered with liking and other stuff and just attach the airplanes to it but you do want to use some sphagnum moss around the base of the roots and wrap it around the log or around the rock And make sure that's in place. I hope you enjoy these tips and that there are helpful to you

Hey Jerry, Rhinos are mostly ground pounders. Maybe a visual barrier at the front bottom of the temp enclosures, in case they get spooked. Kenan had issues with his little psycho’s slamming into the clear walls at the bottom of his enclosure. One broke/fractured its jaw if I remember.

Jerry make yourself 1/4 inch spacer or a couple of them that you can place between the boards when you're making a platform that way you know they're definitely spaced the right amount apart and will not rot because they're out right up against each other. you're from probably make them out of You know the little oval distance you use to connect two pieces of wood together I forget what they're called they're like tenants but they're they're just little pieces they're little ovals you can buy them at any kind of wood Factory pl car reshar there's just little tongues that you can stick in you just but anyway they're about an 8th of an inch the 8th of an inch thick so you want a glue maybe two together make a corridor bench thickness and then you just place them where you need to place them and then pull them out when you're done.

Anoles are sooo underrated. They really are one of the Best small lizard pets. Out in the day, personable, gorgeous and alert. Even if they're mean they cant hurt a human. A great First lizard for a little kid. Or a great option for a small apartment. It is too bad theyre considered as mostly expendable/food in the pet industry. Akin to a Comet goldfish. But that's cool cuz theyre cheap. Iam team common green anole.

I was walking to my truck to grab something an like any other time had no thought beyond going to get what I'd needed an going back inside an rt by my truck that sucker got me an I screamed out loud a good bunch of 4 letter words while trying ta figure out what the hell Satan spawn just tagged me an I saw that red and black velvet looking thing an I went inside an immediately googled it an found out what they were and since then being hyper vigilant I'm seen a bunch of others since when I got tagged an I'm truly surprised how I made it through 50 years without getting tagged by one.

Getting Dav Kaufman and Clint of Clints Reptiles to check out your place next time they are down there. Would have to give you two a surge. You could set up a booth to promote your channel at so.e NARBC Mega reptile shows like Tinley for example. Network and get some colabs figured out there since the main KZbin gand will be there. Snake Discovery gas a monster sized following... if you could get them to come visit you and Kennan I bet your channels would rocket with subscribers.
