Tera is okay, I would suggest water since it's weakness is mostly sp attacking and that assault vest gives more . Physical defense would be good, I'm guessing around 350-400 but with earthquakes, rockslides, I feel like there would be better tears. Overall, it is a very good and creative set, probably better than mine and I just realised I'm a regice specialist now and made an analysis on your set.

Terrakion is very strong, powerful STAB combo, very good stat spread for offensive Pokemon, various strategies, both coverage and boost, can benefit sandstorm. Keldeo is overrated, and bothers me it got a totally useless ability, also has a poor special movepool despite being a special attacker, and good physical coverage but stat spread not so adapted for a mixed set; needs some adjust.

I just finished a Rock type run in White 2. Caught Terrakion but had no use for it. I beat Iris with the team of: Aero the Aerodactyl Mangus the Aggron LordHelix the Omastar George the Golem Titiania the Tyranitar Lily the Cradily Didn't need Regirock and Terrakion as most of my type runs involved the no Legendary pokemon rule for a fun challenge:)

@@unknownartist689 The "flaws" you listed aren't really anything holding keldeo back. Sure its ability is useless, but it doesn't really need it. What makes Keldeo good is its power along with its fantastic type defensively and offensively. Its special movepool isn't all that bad as it can use hidden power to patch up the few gaps its stabs leave, in addition to having Hydro Pump for raw power, Scald with it's 30% burn chance and Secret Sword to cut through special walls and water resists alike.

I wonder if the reason the Swords of Justice have such low offenses has to do with balancing around Justified. Back in Black/White, there wasn’t really an ability like Justified, so I wouldn’t be surprised if Game Freak intended it to be used all the time - you’re supposed to switch them into a Dark type whenever you possibly could, and your enraged musket-deer could start with effectively 135 base Atk rather than 90.

Hi, long-time vgc player here. I played Virizion in my vgc15 team and got Top16 twice at Nationals (Milan and Stuttgart), and could've potentially gone further in Stuttgart (see the Matteo Gini controversy back then). I saw this video and wanted to point out some aspects in Virizion's defense, because I think it was MASSIVELY underrated back then. Some context: back in vgc15, the team comp "chalk" became more and more popular, with its peak at the world championships. This team conists of mega-kangaskhan (which often ran fake out), heatran, amoonguss, cresselia, landorus and a 6th open slot (like thundurus, zapdos, and more). Keep in mind that specifically Mega-Kangaskhan was overpowered and busted since it still had the x1.5 multiplier on the second hit. This is also why Virizion was so good against chalk teams. Here some things (I ran LO Virizion with Quick Guard/Leaf Blade/Close Combat/Detect): - it is faster than Mega-Kangaskhan and can hit it hard with CC and LO (most of the times u get a clean KO), and also can help your mates with quick guard since FO and quick guard have the same priority, but virizion outspeeds Kang - it also hit good against other members of the CHALK core, like heatran or Lando - it can most of the time live 2 hits from opposing Heatrans due to its special bulk. Also Cresselia's Psychic most of the time didn't even 3HKO - Virizion's Attacks can't be redirected by Amoonguss since it's a Grass type - it fit well into my team, concluding a FWG-Core (with Entei and Milo respectively) All in all, it fit a very good niche in my team back then and I think most of the players that competed back then didn't really know what to do against it. The closed team sheet format also helped a lot as I caught multiple opponents off guard with a good quick guard or a surprise KO on the Kangaskhan. Love your vids ok bye

The ability Pressure technically halves the number of times your opponent can attack before it gets stuck with Struggle. I don't play competitive, but I can see how it could be used to be, at the very least, annoying for someone who has mostly moves with low PP like Electo Drift. Yes, those moves are strong, but you can only use them a few times.

Here's my short and long answers (I'm not exactly good at competitive, but I've tried it a bit over the last year). The short version is that official games normally take too few turns for pp stalling to be a working strategy. The long version: In singles there's a lot mote stalling, so I'm not sure how good it is there, but in official competitive Pokémon (doubles where you only bring four Mons per battle), a game that lasts 8 turns is considered a long game. And while there are quite a few 8pp moves, especially on newer legendaries, offensive Pokémon run at least two damaging moves (and supporting moves have a lot or pp). The only realistic use of Pressure is if the offensive Pokémon is Choice-locked (Choice Band, Scarf and Specs only allow you to use the first move you select until you switch out in exchange for damage or speed boosts) into one of these 8pp moves. But take Miraidon for example, because it is the premier Choice Specs user with a 8pp move. And I'm not considering Moltres specifically because with all the damage multipliers Miraidon gets, a Specs Electro Drift would probably make Moltres go extint. Anyway, even a Pokémon which is neutral to Electro Drift can't take more than two, maybe three hits from Miraidon if it decides to lock in the move, which is a valid if considering Miraidon usually runs Discharge for spread damage and Draco Meteor to kill dragons who resist Electric. So trying to Pressure down Specs Miraidon into Struggle before it KOs your entire team (or just the Pressure Pokémon) is not a good strategy. And while you can argue that Miraidon is a bit overkill because the thing is obviously overpowered, nearly every Mon who wants to use a choice item doesn't have a good enough 8pp move, and nearly every Mon who uses an 8pp move in their most popular set can switch moves if needed so they're gonna be slightly inconvenienced at most, specially because they usually can kill nearly anything that doesn't resist their attacks in two or three hits anyway, and in the few cases where a Pokémon fits both criteria, they would probably kill you before you get much value off Pressure. Sorry for the long comment, and hope it makes a bit of sense.

Doubles is generally too fast paced for it to matter, assuming no one forgot to use PP Ups on their team the lowest PP count on a move is going to be 8, which is generally enough to last the whole match, pressure halves it to only 4 uses which could come up on occasion, but that is assuming the Pressure user manages to live that long, which given 8 PP moves are usually extremely powerful is unlikely. In single battles the ability sees a lot more uses as battles are significantly slower and more defensive, its still not a great ability, and the C-list legendaries that are stuck with it would still rather have something else, but its better than nothing.

Zamazenta does this much better. It was always slept on because of zacian being better in almost every aspect, but got nerfed at the same time zacian did in SV. Now zamazenta is currently doing better than any legendary currently( because the formula changes constantly). Not to mention it has dauntless shield and the same typing. Zamazenta has been a surprising Pokemon with a great comeback, and it just does everything cobalion could do, just better.

That's a good point, but what about the other four move slots? Support? What can Cobalion even do in that regard? Quick Guard has the same priority level as Fake Out, so it won't block the ones from foes faster than Cobalion, and gets broken by Urshifu's Aqua Jet due to Unseen Fist. It won't block such overpowered priority moves as Follow Me or Rage Powder either, since it only blocks moves targeting the user's side. And that's outside of just being generally less useful than Wide Guard. Helping Hand? Taunt? Those are hardly unique. Coaching? Best I can think of is Coaching. Maaaybe Roar in metas with setup sweepers?

I briefly caught Wolfe using Zamazenta a few weeks ago in a tournament (I was at work and on break), but I did memorize some of what he was doing. He ran zamazenta as Tera grass with two moves being body press and iron defense. I think he was also running protect but I can’t remember the fourth move. I do know on his Insta he stated zamazenta is currently the highest performing legendary right now. The match I saw had his opponent running two threats to it, being tornadus and kyogre. I wish I could be more helpful with this, but I’ve only begun my research. I do know zamazenta has decent speed and great bulk. If you find any better options as opposed to zamazenta or better ways to run it, I’m definitely curious.

Listen Those international championships are not a joke anyone could get their ass whooped in competitions as stacked as that. Watching the video looks worst because I just finished watching an 8 hour stream of the Italian regional. so if I was Wolfie I rather play those games than watch them that sounds like a lot of content to watch. Some people can watch 11 hour videos everyday but I cannot. The problem with internationals is that you need a lot of mental stamina to make it very far in a game where many pro trainers have nerves of steel plus there are probely hundreds of these trainers gathered in one room the final reason is that people are always preparing for him either because they want to be the trainer to beat him for the upset or just because in every tournament he is a part of he’s a threat so that means that people are hyper focused on him and whether Pokémon team he brings there will be one person that brings a team specifically to counter his and that is why people like Wolfie can lose in a place like that.

Honest question: why is Cobalion ranked so much worse than Virizion? It very recently gained access to body press, which means it can use its high defense stat to attack instead of its low actual attacking stats. Its typing gives the move stab, and it also gets iron defense, which both make the move even stronger. Yes, this is literally the exact same thing that Zamazenta does but worse, except Zamazenta is a restricted legendary while Cobalion isn't. Surely that would make it good in future non-restricted formats? It even gets access to its item slot; Zamazenta is forced to hold the rusted shield if you want to use its crowned form. I'm going to assume that Wolfey simply didn't know about it getting body press (given that he didn't mention it in the video), because there's no way that Cobalion would be worse than Virizion, hell there's no way it'd even be on this list, if he did.

I feel like Cobalion has a lot more competition than Verizion does. Look at Corviknight for instance, trading speed for tailwind access, stab body press for stab brave bird, some defense for some special defense which works out well anyway if running bulk up. It's a real stretch but I can imagine a team where Verizion would actually be the best choice but I don't think Cobalion ever would be.
