German sence of humour can makes them all appear no nonsense or humourless to the uncultural, but to those who have met them or visited/lived in Germany you can tell they are actually pretty friendly and usually always cracking some kind of joke. Or I guess you don't need to be cultured, just intelligent. Like yourself :)

@viperstrike1221
@viperstrike1221 6 жыл бұрын
@TenshiChan The word "volatile" here doesn't mean explosive. He's using the way you would describe a solvent or other chemical that has a low vapor pressure and evaporates readily. If you ever read a news article referring to VOC's in some product they are referring to the Volatile Organic Compounds it contains.
@MilesDeighton1
@MilesDeighton1 6 жыл бұрын
yea scholar.google.com/scholar?hl=en&as_sdt=0%2C5&q=volatile+constituents+of&btnG= and yes truffles are super volatile... they lose 80% of their flavor if you just leave them sitting. also makes them super pungent (unpleasantly) if you're not careful which is why they slice them so thin

666Tomato666 Oh, come on... You don't have to cook with truffels yourself to know that you only grind small flakes of it over your food to intensify the taste - which may add to the price of the meal a few dollars. Especially if, like Stephen, you have already eaten countless times in fancy restaurants, which he occasionally talks about in his show. It is highly unlikely that a truffle never has crossed his way in all these years or that nobody had told him about the experience and how it 'works' on the table...

Say, now. This had not occurred to me. A society with a well developed public transportation system is a society that is more likely to have a thriving social drinking scene. People are a lot less likely to say, "I can't drink. I have to drive home, later." So if a city like Los Angeles starts to build up its public transportation system, its petroleum industry is going to see a decline, but its bars and taverns are going to see _improvements._
@Xiras1985
@Xiras1985 6 жыл бұрын
Until 6 years ago, public transport in Vienna stopped from aprox. 0:30 to 4:30. Only expectations being the night buses. Now subways are at service through the night on FR, SA and before holidays. Before that, MANY people who didn't want to pay for a taxi went home with the last subways, went to friends home or whatever. Now noone cares how late it is and bars/clubs are filled till they close at 3:00 or 4:00. And yes, Austrians are on average hard drinkers.
@PC-eu9gb
@PC-eu9gb 6 жыл бұрын
I'm not sure, but I think you might have it reversed. I think public transportation might be the RESULT of a strong drinking culture... but who knows? only thing i know is that vienna's bathroom infrastructure is shite. I had to urinate behind a telephone booth at 11 pm in the city centre in Vienna because no public restrooms were available, #why.
