Do you find that you get a different sound on the 4th flute compared to a descant? If you hit the same note, say C, is the quality of the note different because of the slightly larger instrument?

Hello. Yes, completely. The fourth flute has a larger, warmer sound. A kind of a very high alto, instead of a low soprano.

@@juliansanders6324 I have recently bought a Kung soprano in Bb (Folklora) in Palisander, which has a similar warm full sound, especially in the lower register, which I have been using a lot.
