Jordan is one of my favorite trainers. Doesn’t mess around and fill you with things to tell yourself and what not. He’s straight up. Business is warfare and the market pulls no punches. To survive you have to have thick skin no matter how many books you read or videos you watch. Been in professional sales for 12 years and I have seen them all. Jordan is as realistic as it gets in this business.

When I was twenty I worked for clowns that told us everyone can be sold to, you just have to try harder, while giving everyone b.s. leads. I wish I could have worked for Jordan Belfort during those times. What he is saying is the truth about selling and he explains it in a supportive way, which is awesome.
@survivalSC Жыл бұрын
He says this stuff now. But when he was running his company he probably fired any rep that did not close after 2 days. It’s simple sales. You have to always be closing. But yes I agree the more targeted the leads the more sales that a good sales reps can close. I had sales training 3 days a week and we had leads for our reps. 1 out of 30 we’re good closers. It’s just a numbers game. If your a closer you should get back into sales if you got out. Sales will always be the fastest road to make 300k a year

Valuable content. My only contention is about tyre-kickers. Just because someone test drives an Audi when he can’t afford one doesn’t make him “destructive”, in many cases with aspirational products like this, if people are treated with dignity and respect, they’ll come back to the very same salesperson as soon as they have the finances.

You're right, but the difference between a looky-loo/tire kicker and what you're talking about is a tire kicker pretends to be a buyer. They have no intention of buying and mislead you and objection hop. Someone who has a long term dream of buying an audi and will come back are different.

I'm in Sales for an engineering firm and I have a question that another sales expert could answer! Many people (inventors) come through with a product to be developed but many do not have ANY money to invest at that time. How do you know it's worth presenting something to them if it is POSSIBLE for them to get money via grants, loans, credit cards, etc. I find that many, although well-meaning, never close and I've spent 40 minutes educating them on the process of designing, prototyping, manufacturing, and marketing a new product. (I go through A LOT with them with no return) 2 out of 8 presentations close.
