16:14 hey bro! Im the official full time nebo monuments trail maintenance guy. We dont do volunteer days very often. And a manor reason hayes has gotten so rough is the amount of rain we've had in short periods. Hayes is always at the top of priorities for cleaning but out of 28 miles it aint easy lol. Love the feed back btw 🤙

I like how you review the forks by actually riding it. Thinking of getting a Bolany RN

Nice! I am telling you with these cheap budget forks that rely on grease give the stanchions a small coat of slickolieum grease on them and pump them up and down a few times to get the grease worked in and wipe almost all the excess grease of the stanchions and these budget fork respond and run much smoother and helps them last longer too!
@Wireman1344 ай бұрын
Ballistol mineral oil is best on stanchions. It seals and conditions rubber.

I think I seen a video not too long ago where someone brought one of these to a service center of some sort, and internally this is a decade behind 'brand' forks. Go look for 'rebuild kits'. There is no official support for maintenance, but you will find links to Ali for the air damper part so you can replace yours when it breaks.. it will cost you around 25 bucks plus shipping. I'm all for budget, but I think as with most things, it's better to get a good second hand one from a reputable brand instead of this ESPECIALLY on the long run. That second hand fork will keep working for a long time, and if you picked right from a good brand you will be able to get service parts for it for a long time for when you do need to replace seals and wipers and what not. I still think this is an excellent 'first time review' btw, I know people who've ridden these things and they do feel good. At first. Ride it for a month then give us a new review.

Right now you can actually get a brand new rockshox yari, lyrik or pike for like 30-50% off . A lot of sales been going on in past year. Also on fox. I personally wouldn't run a budget fork.
@yinghamlyn-chen25 ай бұрын
After messing around with many cheep air forks the way to make them super plush like rockshox is to empty air piston oil and replace with a few ml of rockshox 15wt asnd aslo replace grease in lower legs

I have a Bolany ZTZ fat bike fork with adj rebound. I would say it's more for light-duty riding than for downhill. I like the fork for the price as it has a straight steer tube and the rebound works great.

You definitely should consider WPL fork lube boost. I think alot of the locking up feel is because fork seals get dry when using fork. Especially when stanchions get dust on them. It is biodegradable and is $12 a bottle on Amazon. I bet you would not see that fork lock when using that lube.

Really like the looks of this fork. I may actually consider buying one if all reviews are good. I'll also be holding out for a potential 34 mm stanchion/ 140mm travel version, if there ever is one.

I would be willing to bet there will be one! We actually hope so

@@WOLFTICKVIDEOS I'm really amazed by the increases in quality of "budget" bikes and components. I'd like to see a test on the Hyper Carbon V2(version 2.0). The only Walmart bike I know of that ticks all the boxes... carbon frame, tapered head tube, front and rear boost wheels with through axles, and much more. Dig one up and I'll do my best to buy you a cup of coffee. ✌ love the channel. My favorite budget bike channel.

Would this fork work on the Ozark Trail Ridge? In your review of the ridge you said it had internal races, so would the taper fit? And why didn’t you cut the tube? Just so you can transfer it to another bike, or some other reason?
@ericluthardt53865 ай бұрын
Usually they have issues first day of hard riding. Did they make improvements? Bucklos made some improvements for 2024. Like to see how they are after a few hard rides. Bolany says 100mm of travel with 120mm exposed
@davidgarza22675 ай бұрын
Seems to perform really well. The question with these forks is how durable and serviceable are they? For not much more you can get a low end name brand fork that will last and have service kits available.

The replacement parts and consumables for it are widely available. Heck, you can even build a fork from scratch with all aliexpress parts only

Man I got scared for you at first but damn that fork is amazing. My Bolany oilslick fork is 4 years old now and it has been over mountains running light xc trails but it never failed me. I gave my bike to my son and he also loves the fork it is smooth as day 1. All I have to do is put a little oil on the stancheon seals and that is all. My brother even said the fork is smoother than his rockshocks judy silver tk and I agree. My suntour epixon is tuned perfectly for me but I have to to a lot of things but the cheaper fork with its simplicity is just great. Using the old bike it brings back good memories I can say.
