I put a Bucklos 29 fork on my Schwinn Boundary last year. The rebound knob froze after a few months of light trail riding. It too wasn't very good on smalls. The fork actually performed better in lockout than other settings. Whenever I would go down a small descent and go over a dip in the trail it would make a weird noise like air was being pushed out or something. These forks are strictly for x country and light trail riding and are non-serviceable.

The grittyness can be the fork binding, could be due to bad tolerances. Unlike tits worn bushing son firs tried, but maybe this has the Sr suntour bushing design if so it's just plastic one pice tubing thing but if it's bad plastic it can wear faster, might be bad bushings, might be the fork is too flexy for you. Which would not surprise me. I don't know which material they used, nor looked up close on the arch. But would not surprise me if it's flexy materials. But would not surprise me if the fork is too flexy. But it could be dirt inside the fork if the tolerances were ba Don the dust wiper seals. Bent or bad tolerances on internal parts can also cause stiction. I would not get a fork longer than 130mm if it's 32mm stanchions, and that's for light riding, for harder riding which you do, larger stanchions is a better option. 34, 35 mm or something like that. Boost would make the fork even flexier, unless they stiffened it up, so stiffer stronger arch.
@WOLFTICKVIDEOS2 жыл бұрын
Oh, that may be it!! The plastic tubing laying in the lowers is probably the grittiness.

@WOLFTICKVIDEOS2 жыл бұрын
Well brother these have listed on the air chart riders up to 195lbs. So probably not these, in the budget realm it's gonna be hard to find a tougher well built and durable for. The RockShox Judy Silver TKs are pretty tough and they are durable. For around $170 and up is what you can expect. But maybe something like that, they also have 100 to 120mm of travel.

Six months later, I still like my Bucklos 29 QR 32mm $130 . It has a little flex front to back, but seems fine. I bought it from Amazon and paid the extra $16 for a 2 year warranty, just in case. Remember, some of the Suntour repair parts can be used on this.

I have a bucklos fork and it was complete crap haha! I chose the cheapest one I could find, it was basically $100 flat. The paint is coming off the stanchions and it just feels bad haha. But it looks like there more expensive forks are much better haha.

You need to swap about half your bikes to tubeless and see if your issue with flats diminishes
@WOLFTICKVIDEOS2 жыл бұрын
Man if we could afford it!! LOL
@baron1c2 жыл бұрын
@@WOLFTICKVIDEOS I am pretty sure there are cheap way to do it. I have seen people use good duck tape (gorilla tape) and good sealant. Even with “non tubeless” tires. Also I am pretty sure there are tutorials here on you tube. Been awhile since I looked into it so I could be wrong
@WOLFTICKVIDEOS2 жыл бұрын
We have done all of that before and we have the GT tubeless now(done correctly)and we have had trouble with every part of it. Our experience has been that using the right tire is key to using tubes or going tubeless successfully. P.S. making 17 bikes tubeless would be a nightmare now and again during maintenance😉. I saw The Tick's response and thought I would give my two cents. Thanks man👍

Does anyone know why all these budget fork's compression knobs say ABS on them? Is this some Asian acronym which translates to "Don't Ever Turn This fkn Knob" or does it mean what I fear it means.... Anti Bounce Squish? Of course it could mean "Americans keep Buying our Sht". No matter the manufacturer, they all seem to use this same knob, and I'm beginning to think the Asian to English translator program the manufacturer used to make all the wording on these forks told them the fork has a key feature called Anti-lock Brakes. If that's true, I will get my spray paint out right now and "correct" this giant blunder on my Bolany fork OR I will move to Asia to be assimilated to the collective. We are the Borg.
@robert501732 жыл бұрын
Anti Bounce System ish
@WOLFTICKVIDEOS2 жыл бұрын
@guitartec-man no clue the ABS....LOL Love your clever acronyms though!! Maybe ALL-BUILT-SIMILAR? A-BIG-SWITCH? ADJUSTABLE-BOUNCE-SYSTEM? AUTOMATIC-BALLER-STATUS? ATHRITIS-BOUND-SISSY?? I AM THINKING THOSE ARE PROBABLY THEM.....
@alimantado3732 жыл бұрын
Still not buying them, just not worth it! and the reasons you guys know! Weight doesnt come into it if the fork will fail over even concrete or roads , the build quality, unless you buy a pair and spend money on Suntour parts to try to correct it is just not worth it.

Unless these vid/ review thingscstart with " these forks are dangerous shite" then just switch off becausevthey getting paid to review. They are garbage. 5 rides 2 strip downs and i honestly took the off and threw them in the bin. £100 lost but im not a sellout sullying them family name. Bushing, rigidity, air chamber design, stiction all wouldve been banned from sale in the 90s but now they can sell this lethal crap. If you use these on proper off road you risk your life. This is not trolling. Just buy them because arrogance means you must so have at it.
