Thanks, but I don't remember what I said! I really appreciated this episode because you reestablished your mission of testing lower cost parts. You did it in a really fair way, explaing why you felt a certain way, even emphasizing that all these forks are not the same. You had several comments saying they liked there Bucklos forks(You know how I feel about that) but didn't like some of these other ones. Another good video!
@WOLFTICKVIDEOS2 жыл бұрын
You said that it felt like The Tick held back a little because he had pre-determined that the fork was dangerous and sketchy. You were sort of correct, but he was also injured and determined to ride the downhill and only the downhill. We have never got away from what we do, but we have alot of differing ideas and sometimes he "Divas" so hard I can't get him grounded in time for filming🤣.

I think the himalo needs a recheck on it after working out some of the action on it . It seems like a whole different animal than what you guys have been using. It may have taken some getting used to and working out to break in. Keep rocking guys! You represent for the budget bros out there! Not everyone can drop the coin for a SID or Fox etc.

I Ride a Fat tire E-Bike SE f@r 4 8"X 26.0" rear tire bike. I put 750 miles on a Bucklos. It had no rebound at all (loud clunk every time the front tire left the ground). So, I tied a strap to stop full extension. I replaced seals and regreased several times. I rode this shock down many 1000 vert drops. All though I am almost 66 years old, I do not do Big Air. I like old style Backcountry Technical. So I retired the shock yesterday. (RIP)

I just found this channel last night and I'm so glad I did. The first few videos, I skipped the shenanigans, but now I enjoy them just as much as the covered content. This is an awesome channel. Thanks for doing this stuff. I'm very new into mountain biking and bought a schwinn S29 dual suspension last summer that looks almost identical to the temissor. Only difference I see is the color, the shifters, and the front fork is a quick detach. Keep the content coming!

Nice review as always guys. The fork comparisons have been a great help for many but would love to see a comparison between your rear shocks you have acquired and are using or have used in the past. Still like the look of the LUTU 34 AN but with that "missing in action 20mm of travel" I found it useless to invest in a boosted front to test them out. ✌️🤙👍

May be a re-score job, just thinking it may be on a straight steerer, still dont like the adapter......But the jump line is called the Bluejay, check it out. Too bad ZTZ customer service ghosted you guys. Lil tip for Wolf, try manually selecting the auto-focus block on one side of your lens so you can have Tick jumping into the frame instead of centered. It gives a sense of motion as opposed to stopping motion (great for candid portraits). With a beautiful background you can use this same technique with a slower shutter speed and panning to get some motion blur while keeping Tick sharp as a tack. After a few attempts you’ll be both surprised and impressed with the sense of speed your photos convey.

Hey Michael. Thanks for subbing and welcome to the #wolfticknation!! Now the fork you speak of....I was not a huge fan of it, it seemed a little heavier than usual but so did the rockshox, of i had to choose i would go for the silver man, it's a great looking tough fork. If you can find the RockShox Judy Silver TK tapered either 100mm or 120mm for $170ish We would say get it. Other than that you would probably have to go more money for anything real dependable. There is always the Manitou Markhor for around 280ish. Keep us updated on what you go with.

I've been reading a lot about people not being happy in the long run with these budget forks. I knew that would happen. Forks take a beating on mountain bikes. Just not something you should skimp out on. This is my conclusion on forks. If you're 180 lb or less you can MAYBE get away with a budget fork depending on how you ride. If you're over 180 and intend to do ANY jumping. You'll just have to pay more if you want it to last.
@WOLFTICKVIDEOS2 жыл бұрын
We always tell people to go with the bigger names if possible and definitely if they plan on jumping. I would say about 80% of the people watching our channel and channels like it are going to be good with most any fork. The Tick only weighs 150lbs but hits rock gardens going 20mph and getting 12 to 15 feet of air on these forks to see what will happen. Most people that have the ability to do these things usually spend a little more on their bikes. Good findings for the most part👍 Thanks Dan

After watching this video, I went and measured the "120mm" Lutu I purchased for the Axum. The total stanchion length was 114mm and the usable length was less than 100mm. My suspicion is that these specs are represented by the same people who misrepresent their male part proportions to women they date and perhaps, marry. Sure, we were disappointed with the fork length, but think about some poor woman on her wedding night, just married, to the Lutu salesperson. I still like my Lutu fork, but I'm not married to it. It has 32mm Stanchions, and as long as it takes me out to dinner once in a while, I will continue dating it.

HA HA HA!! BOB, man how long does it take to have these witty insane coments?? LOL This one was so clever!!! LMFAO HA HA HA, we all have a little Lutu salesperson in us right??

Give it a fair. Re score now that you at least understand the sketchiness of the fork. I’m still using them zoom breaks. I got two sets and both are very different. I think you guys should do a video. Get two the same item from different places. And see what is different. Simply because I got my two set of zooms and both are very different

Great review guys. I did find it strange that the company just continued to offer a discount instead of acknowledging or fixing the issue with the 140mm fork travel. Especially since the issue could have been on the other end where it was too much (147 or 150mm) which could still be a problem for some people. Just shows lack of control in their process. But I’m hungry now after all the Waffle House talk. I need to get the All-Star breakfast now!

Bought that lutu 32. The steerer tube was off center on the crown and it was supposed to be 120mm ad advertised amd it was only 100mm....sent it back the next day. These forks should not be sold period. Sorry guys....
@WOLFTICKVIDEOS2 жыл бұрын
Man I feel ya, we had the same experience with the 140mm lutus. Don't be sorry, we don't design them 🤣 what did you go with??

@@WOLFTICKVIDEOS thanks for responding love the channel!....so I had a 2009 marzocchi 55 tst micro that a had from back then. I used to have a rc3 ti but that got sold on a bike. So I'm stuck with a mediocre air fork!. That wasn't marzocchis best air fork. Could I swap that out for a better cartridge?....or a rc3 cartridge?

Noone would have bought that 140mm fork if it only listed as having 120mm of travel so the $5 irrelevant. ZTZ can get rucked too with that shipping response. I'm leaving the stock forks on the aggressor until they blow out through the bottom straight through the earth up someones dupa on the other side of the globe
@WOLFTICKVIDEOS2 жыл бұрын

I purchased the ztz for my hardtail and it’s complete garbage!! Bottoms out all the time at 120lbs of air even. The whole thing bends I’m 220lbs doesn’t work.

Dang, I guess we didn't have it so bad after all🤣. I'm going to guess they didn't give any customer service. That sucks man.

I don't trust any of these forks the ymighy even come from same factory some ordered one but got the other, like Kevcentral. Only difference seems to be the stickers. Of course there are different versions of the forks but they all are rebranded in all of the versions. And quality varies on both brands. Some forks crack in the lowers, some don't fully compress due to bad tolerance sin dropouts so when you out the wheel on the fork does not work. I am also not surprised by the response from ZTZ. I would not go to any shop, or buy from a online retailer selling junk like this. No serious retailer sells it.
