They've seen awesome, natural growth. I think viral growth is bad because you get a surge of subs, then back down to your regular viewers. So you can be 500k subs with 4k views per video which looks horrible in my opinion

@vmoutsop Hey thanks man! In all fairness we have completely separated ourselves from the rest of the pack by marching to the beat of our own drum, which has for sure hurt potential subscriptions to our channel. We made a promise to ourselves that we would stay as real as possible and let our success or failure happen on our terms and not copy what others have done or do. We pride ourselves on being real and honest. We understand that we are not for everyone, but the people that "get us" seem to be loyal and supportive and we love the little community that has emerged from all of this. Thanks for being part of it, and we hope you stick around for years to come.🥰 P.S. I didn't know that you were from Boston😂👍.

@Evan Steinberg Evan this is the main reason I like you so much. When I talk to people they don't understand these things, so Jeremiah (who doesn't always understand either) usually handles comments that people make that have no clue about what we are trying to do. I had to convince even him that the organic route was going to be the best route in the long run for us. Now that we have been dealing with several companies it reassured us that I was right all along. I studied KZbin for years before we actually started our channel and I told Jeremiah the same thing exactly what you said about viewership vs subscribers. We are always going to struggle a little on this because a majority of our subscribers are going to move on from their "budget" bikes, and/or we are doing videos on bikes other than the bike that we were covering when the subscribed originally. Our hope is that we can encourage people to always have a fun side/loaner project that don't break the bank, so they stick around for our nonsense😂. I would love to get together one day and talk all kinds of crap on some other channels that we might not think so highly of😜. Thanks man and we look forward to watching you become the next big channel in the KZbin MTB world.👍

16:11 I don't remember all fork models and damper specs, but I thought all Rockshox forks had a proper hydraulic lock-out, I still think, this unit is faulty. It should lockout almost completely and only give on big hits, lieka curb. Even with the 🐺 on it. But it's listed as Motion Control damper, so you should be able to locvk the fork out almost completely like I mentioned. But this is really just low speed compression adjustment, and turning it completely to locked will lock the fork. RL stands for rebound and lock out. But I am not surprised its defective, I've had rockshox forks with seals out of the lowers and covered in oil, and seals were so bad i could pop them in and out using my fingers, and one fork made ka klunk sounds, sounded like it was broken, returned them and got them back rebuilt with seals that were to specs, and forks worked smoothly. So I think you should revisit this fork when you get it fixed. I see max 220mm rotor siz eis listed too, that's overkill for most on xc bike, but big guys it's not i guess.
@WOLFTICKVIDEOS3 жыл бұрын
Man that's what everyone says, we may just have bad luck ha ha! The fork is pretty good for $230
@mtbboy19933 жыл бұрын
@@WOLFTICKVIDEOS maybe the damper unit is cracked or missing parts. it's easy to check, you can remove the compression unit easily, you need a suspension socket, but this has to be doen carefully, but if you need to inspect it, it's possible, but keep in mind the damper oil is not good for you. best to let Rockshox fix it, it is covered by warranty, it's faulty product. and it's unlikely you broke it, even if you jumped with it, it won't break it, maybe on a huge jump.

I think the Xfusion trace 34 is the 29er counterpart to the 27.5 Xfusion Sweep 34. I’d be interested in longer term info on the higher rated forks you guys have. My instinct is that cheaper forks that feel good in the beginning don’t hold up over time to regular hard use and that really the biggest difference in a $200 fork vs a $400 fork. Just my thoughts.

I appreciate when people recommend things, or just give a layout. It depends who it's coming from though. If the person has tried many different options and found a good one I'd like to hear their recommendation. Some people don't have the ability to properly compare things, or they don't have the opportunity to try them all out.
@dangerous83333 жыл бұрын

@@dangerous8333 That is one hell of a fork!!! I have tried other forks due to trust from fellow bikers. I have an Epixon and a Judy. The Judy takes a lot more air for guys like us. If you go over 120 mm they become noodly. I have them at 100 mm.
@dangerous83333 жыл бұрын
@@allocke9446 Yeah, I got lucky. I'd been looking at forks for my Axum for over a month. I wanted to spend under $400 so I wrote the Bombers off immediately. Then I started realizing I might have to spend a little more to get everything I wanted. Started looking at $500 forks (even used) and the Bombers popped up again on Evan's channel (Evans MTB saga). His review peaked my interest so much that I did a Google search to get some more information, and evo.com was having a 20% off sale to coincide with Amazon's prime day. I bought them immediately. Sold out in less than 24 hours. That's my recommendation if someone can find them on sale, especially for bigger guys that want to ride hard. Even for $500 though it seems like a great fork, albeit not necessarily budget.

That's a good fork. I expected that. Do you see what I mean about going higher in price and differences getting smaller although noticeable? You can disagree. I would love to see what you think of a spring fork with a rebound adjust. Nevermind...they are freagin' expensive. The only one I find that is budget is a Rockshox 26er. Oh...Thank you for the mention!!! 😊

@@WOLFTICKVIDEOS Question, are we fairly certain that particular linked Epixon w remote lockout can be lengthened to 140mm? Thanks for the reply. The second eBay link is the same as the first for Epixon btw, not rockshox (I assume Judy Silver TK).
@WOLFTICKVIDEOS3 жыл бұрын
@Tim Ralston Haha it's been a long couple of weeks🤣. Here is the Judy link: ebay.us/IMW5tU Man we are not certain about that but that is what people tell us. We buy forks with whatever the stated specs are and we don't take them apart because most of our viewers want to know stock performance and durability. If we were to modify the fork it sort of ruins the long term review ability.

i am pretty sure the sweep 34 is the 27.5 version of the trace 34. i was thinking that you needed that top rated fork for project Ron Burgundy. i bet the travel is easily adjustable on both the trace and sweep too. you could slacken out project ron burgundy a little by setting it at 130mm. hopefully the sweep smells of rich mahogany😊. selfishly i have a recon silver 27.5 boost on my Siskiu T7 and i want to know if the upgrade to the sweep 34 would be worthwhile. at the very least it is almost a pound lighter than the recon based on your results from today in the 29 variety. i am trying to slim down the T7 a little.

I have from old marzocchi bomber forks to white brothers. To newer fox. And some sun tour forks. To rock shox. Forks I found out to rebuild forks it depends on the model pieces are easier to get forks not so great parts are mail order. Older ones mail orders. Now on settings. You need a upper priced fork meaning 200 bucks. Some under that price flex. Or just janky I have a Walmart bike budget all the way the plastic cups on the the forks popped off. Meaning they are just a pogo stick fork. You need a fork that does not flex and has some settings. And ya need a lock out. It can go on n on about suspension. I have issues on bike checks just simply because it goes into deep about the torque settings and specs. And people want to know the length the sweep in the angles. It all comes down to measurements and on n on. About it.

@stephenmurray23893 жыл бұрын
Reason being is that I purchased second hand some wheels that wouldn't fit.
@WOLFTICKVIDEOS3 жыл бұрын
For sure Stephen, now boost is dumb in itself!! LOL But it basically means being able to fit a fatter wider tire on either the front for being a boost fork (15mmX110mm) instead of a 15mmX100mm. And a rear 148MM (boost) dropout as opposed to the traditional 135mm rear axle width. Kinda dumb but if you wanna run a fat tire without having rub issues, then Boost may be the only option in most cases.
