I do have a headcanon about this. So the song and video showed a grave and talked about how his death was mourned by a hundred tears and his tale was told for a thousand years. so that means Techno is over a thousand years old, which could be possible in the SMP but I think something else was going on. I believe Techno is an ancient king who slayed the Minotaur, his people loved him at first but then a lot of nobles and people by his side started thinking he had too much power and he was a threat and banished and/or executed him for their own gain.(thus his hate for the government.) The statue we saw in the video might've been erected by Philza, which might've been his only advisor who stood by his side(thus their friendship and bond). (small headcanon about Philza) Philza is shown in Japanese garb of a warrior, and perhaps studied under Sun Tzu(I know Sun Tzu lived in China, Philza might've traveled and found the tactical mastermind) . Eventually he travels around the world and finds Technoblade's kingdom, and Techno accepts Philza and takes him into his inner circle of advisors, where Techno learns about Philza's mentor, and adopts his teachings(which explains why Techno constantly quotes Sun Tzu). So after Techno dies either in the wilderness or at the hands of the government, Philza finds out he is descended from the gods and finds his wings(which would explain why his sons Tommy and Wilbur, as descendants of gods, had caused important parts in history), and finds Techno was too, and if he didn't die, Techno would have lived thousands of years as well. We skip a thousand years past and Jschlatt has been elected, Wilbur Soot and Tommyinnit were exiled. They had heard from their father that a legendary hero had once lived and was never defeated. They find the corpse of Technoblade, and much like how people are planning to resurrect Jschlatt, they brought him back. This explains the reason why he looks so pale and lifeless when he is talking to Tommy in the video, and his boar skull mask. The resurrection also explains why "Techno never dies", because the resurrection doesn't allow him to die. It also explains why Tommy always uses Techno as a tool and only calls him the blade. Tommy gets upset when Technoblade ever doesn't do exactly what he wants. While Wilbur actually liked Technoblade and grew a close friendship and Techno was one of the few Wilbur actually remembered a lot about when he died and came back as Ghostbur. Dream might have been another demi-god king and was a rival with Technoblade thus their witty banter and back and forth

This was so damn great, from what I understand techno is some kind of an immortal creature who possesses insane strength this enabled him to rise among the city ranks and become king by slaying the minotaur but over time he started getting corrupted (just like theseus) by the voices in his head 0:40 this lead to fear among the city people and they exiled techno due to this fear but he refused to fight back as it was his own people. 1:24 it says to a king and a "friend" which means this statue was most likely made by Philza, on that note it seems philza is from the same race as techno as he himself was there to witness everything techno did and he was wings. Also, notice how in this statue techno is more humanised which means that it not a depiction of him but a depiction of his memory which resides among the folk of the city. After the exile, i theorise techno went into a deep slumber as he no longer had a reason to be awake in this world and the city people though that he was dead (his death was mourned by a hundred tears) and philza ran away after building the statue but then everything happens in manburg (1:40) and techno awakens in order to not let history repeat itself but in the process of doing so understands that its not the government that is crooked but it is the people themselves, then he finds Tommy and remembers his past trying to free Tommy of the pain that being a hero brings. Philza probably returned shortly after techno awakening and met his descendant Wilbur but was forced to kill him.

I propose that dream was just a cunning minister under techno's old rule, most likely being the one who spread the rumours of techno being mentally unstable as manipulation is his speciality. Tommy being a higher being is unlikely but possible, mortals can follow in the paths of immortals as well so it's not a requirement for him to be a higher being.

@@tahariyaan6412 Yeah...Also, when Techno first caught Tommy dwelling in his house, decided to ally with him to get his stuff back and Tommy's discs back, Tommy said along the lines "We don't have to be pals" In which Techno agreed to. Fast forward to the beginning of Connor's kidnapping stream, Techno and Tommy exchanged Christmas gifts, listened to the Techno's canon disc 'Wait', vibed for a little while, said 'Merry Christmas' to each other along with saying that their best friends (At least Tommy did). After confronting Tubbo because of Connor being held hostage, they are confronted by Dream. Dream threatened to burn Tommy's disc if he doesn't come with him. Techno then proceeds to defend Tommy and said that he couldn't let Dream get to Tommy until he gets his revenge unless, he wants to call in 'that' favor. Tommy was feeling suspicious and asked but, Techno wouldn't tell him. So there's a lot going on and we don't exactly know how long the alliance, friendship, and maybe their brotherhood will last but, it's nice to see them be happy together. Also, Techno disregarded the Sleepy Bois inc. family dynamic because it makes him seem as if he's constantly traitorous to his family so Phil is more of an old friend in his story. However, he did say we could still believe in the headcanon, though. :)

Combining some of the theories/headcanons I read in the comments here, this is my idea Techno and Phil are thousands of years old within the SMP. Techno was the original Theseus, he killed his own Minotaur then got tried for his crimes on SMPEarth along with Phil, and they gained their traits, Techno being able to become a pig and Phil his wings. They both fell into a coma and only awoke when the Manberg v Pogtopia was started up as Pogtopia awoke them somehow. Techno and Phils features aren't natural. People like Fundy and Schlatt must have had ancestors who also killed their own Minotaurs for their animal-like features but they lost the powers over the generations that Techno and Phil maintained during their slumbers. People humanize Phil and Techno to try and make sense of who they are but only they can rely on each other which is why they are exiled together. It also explains why Techno hates governments, because he saw what happened first hand when he was king of the Antarctic Empire and during his slumber, he must have seen other governments rise and fall which led him to want to crush governments to prevent a new Theseus from occurring, but failed when Tommy arrived. Tommy is the second Theseus, Techno is the original, and this is why Tommy and Techno work well together, though they don't trust each other fully. Karl's new series could show how life was like before SMPEarth which is where Techno and Phil got their powers and lead into the whole greater story. And it could also go with Dream also being thousands of years old and did even more than Techno did in order to get his God-like status within the SMP and he awoke sooner then Phil and Techno because of his lust for power once again, rather than Phil and Technos desire to prevent someone else getting hurt as they did. Also, DreamSMP Wilbur is a descendent of SMPEarth Wilbur and thinks of Phil like his father because his ancestors were friends until SMPEarth Wilbur "betrayed" Phil and Techno, but DreamSMP Wilbur doesn't know of the betrayal and Phil takes on the role of DreamSMP Wilbur's Dad since he needed to in order to protect more of the past being revealed and other beings from the past awakening with their own goals in mind. Since this is thousands of years after SMPEarth in the theory, the world has changed a lot which leads to Earth not being like it was before and instead being more like Pangea then what we experience by the time of the DreamSMP . And maybe the voices in Technos head that he experiences now are the people he ruled over as King of the Antarctic Empire and his friends who betrayed him after defeating his Minotaur which calls on him to bring them blood to show he deserved to rule by conquering others, and the chat is just part of the people he ruled over. TL;DR Techno and Phil old as fuck, so is Dream though, from a different time period, they sleep for a while and wake up in the DreamSMP which is why they keep their powers and traits while the descendants of SMPEarth characters, Schlatt and Fundy for example, only keep their traits but not the powers of the old beings.

Also, Phil and Techno dress differently from the rest of the DreamSMP because they are wearing the clothes they awoke with from before their slumber, which includes Technos cape because that is what they feel fits them best and it's what they wore in their prime. Dream looks so different because during his life before his slumber he became a green monstrosity and when he awoke to rule over the DreamSMP he chose not to hide the monstrosity because it shows how he is the one in charge and you should not question him, and it makes people not want to rebel against a pseudo god and he has less work to do and more time to rule and enjoy himself. Ranboo is also one of the beings who awoke from a different time, probably a time between the end of SMPEarth and the DreamSMP, but his slumber did not preserve him as well as it had the others and it was more rushed, which is why he suffers from memory loss because his slumber sapped him of his memories of before, and he is a mix of two different creatures which could only occur before the time of the DreamSMP as that ability was lost to time which is why no new beings are created

I have a theory on Ghostbur! Ghostbur can't remember his past life, correct? Well he can just the happy times though. Anyway, Ghostbur 'somehow' can remember his death. Why is that? Shouldn't his death be the legit worst thing that happened to him? Well no not technically. Ghostbur remembers his death because that was the moment of regret and memories. The regret of destroying L'Manburg the regret of telling Tommy that he was going to blow up L'Manburg the regret of everything wrong he has done. The regret of accepting Dream's TNT. The memories of how he could have changed everything from the tranny of L'Manburg. Plus what would happen if Wilbur was never there? Tommy wouldn't have to worry about the war because Wilbur wouldn't be there to make L'Manburg and start war against SMP and L'Manburg. Tubbo could've never even heard of L'Manburg and still be living a peaceful life on the end of a road. Even Philza wouldn't have to worry about his insane son threatening to destroy everything they have built for the past few months! That was the moment of him regreting everything. That was the moment everything could go back to normal. That was the moment where Wilbur wasn't there anymore to hurt or harm others. And that makes his unfinished symphony, change everything back to normal. Also this plays nicely with your theory, the reason Wilbur died and became Ghostbur is because of his unfinished symphony. He has unfinished business to do with the SMP but is cursed with memory loss. Remembering the good times but not the bad. When Tommy got exiled Ghostbur followed, but not for a very long time. He still is following but not as much. He spends most of his time in L'Manburg, to fix houses and help others. Trying to keep everyone from being sad. Just think about it! Ghostbur's books, Ghostbur's unending supply of blue, Ghostbur's amnesia! This all leads up to Ghostbur's unfinished symphony! Ghostbur's books: The book of the L'Manburg anthem, all the books Wilbur has written for L'Manburg. Ghostbur's unending supply of blue: Trying to make everyone happy when they are all sad because of the incident Wilbur caused. Ghostbur's amnesia: Forgetting everything about the whole ending L'Manburg incident only to remember it once again and feel the pain of everyone around him. My favorite thing about this definitely has to be the use of colors. At the start, both techno and tommy are drawn in very eye-catching and warm colors. They share red, a color of pride and blood, but tommy is accentuated in cheerful yellow (in contrast to wilbur's dirty blonde) while techno keeps to a poisonous pink. But as the story goes on the colors start to became more subdued, more thoughtful and gritty. Their reds turn to brown and black, the fiery orange backgrounds turn to blue snow, and when they meet again it becomes an almost cautious orange. Even their eyes which are usually light blue have become more indigo. I also noticed a reappearance of dark green, representing Tubbo and Dream and also in tommy's bandana and techno's earrings, as if to say they still havent completely let go of the past quite yet. Combined with the very gritty textures and backgrounds, I feel like it perfectly encapsulates how they are both healing from the aftermath of the red festival, and how they will slowly regain their colors and passion as they attempt to destroy l'manburg again... you're so clever, Nameless, please be super proud of yourself for your work :D

I understand where you're coming from, but I think tommy was always going to separate from techno. Techno could've trusted tommy, but I don't think tommy ever could really trust techno after he executed tubbo at the festival. It was a temporary partnership, when their goals aligned, and when tommy had no where else to go. Once he recovered and reunited with tubbo, he had no reason to stay with techno, especially since techno was trying to destroy everything tommy stood for, and had a favor to dream, the guy who manipulated him in exile. I'm hoping now that lmanberg and dream are both dormant, that they may rekindle a bit of their friendship, but who knows.

Tommy and everyone else there treated him as a weapon except Philza and Ranboo who treated him as an actual person. And I could go on but Techno and Dream were in the right and I could talk about Dream but I’am kind of busy.

You know, Theseus was an orphan too. (Ancient Greece nerd time) Theseus technically had 2 fathers - one was Poseidon, but the other was King Augeas. His mother was Aethra, princess of Troezen. She was captured and forced to serve Helen of Troy, and never saw her son again. King Augeas jumped into the ocean after thinking Theseus had been killed by the Minotaur

I love how this implies Techno is literally Theseus, which makes his repeating history thing even more literal. I actually really like that idea

I actually find the parallels between tommy and Theseus fascinating! If one goes back to the start of Theseus, he is born in a different City, away from Athens, where his father rules and has to go a long way with a few quests to reach Athens, his home, where his stepmother tries to kill him before the king his father can recognise him as the prince of Athens. Tommy gains the nickname Theseus from Technoblade, whom he met in exil, aka far from home, (in the DreamSMP). Then they had to plan the revolution, aka the quests on the way home. Reaching the city, there were some complications, with not only attempted murder. Theseus, after becoming the prince of Athens has to go on the famous Minotaur-quest, where he only succeeds due to the help of Ariadne, whom he betrays on his way home. Tommy once again exiled, goes to Technoblade, who helps him. And then, when Tommy can return, he betrays Technoblade. (It's kinda funny that I only now noticed, that Technoblade is Ariadne in this scenario). Theseus heading home after the Minotaur-quest forgot to change the sails to show his father that he survived, resulting in the death of his father, who believed Theseus had died. Finding this out Theseus too jumped from the same cliff and died (in some versions) - in a way this was Theseus' doomsday. In Tommys case, not he and the King died but their nation on the doomsday.
