I suppose there are words which "were used" but are used no longer due to having been forgotten or are out of current use. I can't recall the latin word for "cliffhanger" for example and there are sure to be exotic languages which have been forgotten. There are also perhaps words that are yet to be used, due to not having been created yet. An example would be the word for the fictional alien race in Star Wars episode 10. There would be a vocal sound to imply the concept however the concept is yet to be created. I suppose the matter depends on how one defines a "word" and whether a word is still used/exists if nobody knows of it.

@anonym11684 жыл бұрын
Why shouldn't it be used in a parliament?
@Bancheis4 жыл бұрын
@@anonym1168 Because people should have some basic level of decency, courtesy, and respect for their fellow human beings. At the very least have some respect for people in the same position as yourself. To try and reduce what is a civil right and civil duty to discuss and present opinions put forth in Parliament down to a degrading insult because you don't like said opinions defeats the entire purpose of having civil discussions to try and come to agreement on something.
@anonym11684 жыл бұрын
@@Bancheis But in what way is "mansplaining" a degrading insult? And isnt't the act of mansplaing itself pretty respectless towards women?
@Bancheis4 жыл бұрын
@@anonym1168 Since when did explaining your position require a gender to be put in front of it? And why is it always one-sided, with no one EVER using the word "womansplaining"? The act of calling it "mansplaining" is itself disrespectful for making a simple action everyone does tied to a gender. This is often used as an excuse to discredit or completely disregard any point that is being made. You could say what I am doing right now is "mansplaining" because I am a man, and I am explaining a position because a question was asked. However, this is how a normal conversation works. If you are a woman, and I am explaining this to you, that does not make it disrespectful. This simply makes you informed of my position on the matter. Think about it. You would never disregard someone's opinion because of their race, would you? You wouldn't say "Stop blacksplaining" to someone who was black trying to talk to you about a subject you disagreed with, would you? Why do the same with gender? The made-up word literally serves no purpose other than to divide people and be used as an excuse to ignore what someone says. It is toxic in nature and should be removed from people's vocabulary. Feminism used to be better than this, fighting for true equality, not using petty insults and degradations to look better than their male counterparts.
@MontySlython4 жыл бұрын
@@anonym1168 in this case she feels he spoke towards her in a condescending manner, why put gender at the forefront of an act like that? Something that happens daily and happens to everyone in conversation, it had nothing to do with gender until she brought it up. @@devikamittal8798 the vast majority of feminists I know, and have met, or seen on social media platforms, only speak about women's issues, what women deserve, and how unfair women have it. They are closer to the definition of being a misandrist, than they are of being a feminist.
@devikamittal87984 жыл бұрын
Grow low I personally think that most of the issues women face now are more social than political, save for a few such as the pink tax and the luxury tax on feminine hygiene products. It’s not something passing a bill can fix. It runs deeper in society, and I think that’s why there’s so much more push from certain individuals, but it has sadly achieved the opposite. These issues will only be fixed over generations of change, and only then will men be seen as just as nurturing as women, and women just as ambitious as men. That’s where the frustration comes from, and some people express that with much more aggression.

well technically it is just a word, it only becomes racist when used that way. you dont hear all the 'white' folk walking around calling each other 'whitey', 'milky' or 'cracker' now do you. i dont use the word, but to me there is a big difference between the pronunciation of the word ending with 'a' or with 'er'. but hey you will call me racist just for having a different opinion and being white
