Y'know the traditional Dutch dish called: mash pot? That's a way to try vegetables with your trusty ol' potatoes. :) We also put bacon in there with meat on the side. Still funny to see (for instance) Americans try to make it, it's literally the first thing I learned to make as a kid, only after that came soup and pasta. Lol

Because people underestimate just how much sugar they consume. Case in point, fruit juices or soda.You drink one small glass of coke and you've already blown your daily allowance for simple sugars. This is aggravated by there being no fiber in those fluids, so the sugar goes straight into your blood, kicking your pancreas in the balls.

I have Generalized Anxiety Disorder and to me it usually translates into anger, but i find it easier to deal with as instead of how it resonates with Cary. Because I know that if I let myself go, It will affect people around me and myself, whilst Cary's most affects herself, which is why it must be so hard to deal with. She's amazing, like, honestly, I could not deal with being overwhelmed to the point of bursting out crying everytime I get slightly stressed out. It must be exhausting. This girl is a badass.

When you have a food aversion, it's not just a dislike of certain foods. It's wanting to eat those foods but not being able to because your body rejects it. I had a severe food aversion like hers when I was younger due to a frequently missed neurodevelopmental condition, called Sensory Processing Disorder, or SPD, which is where the brain doesn't filter your senses properly, resulting in what is called a sensory overload, where the brain gets overstimulated. I now eat almost anything, but, I can't stomach raw tomatoes because the texture makes me feel like I'm choking.

@LauraBidingCitizen
@LauraBidingCitizen 5 жыл бұрын
Kaja Magdalena That’s nothing to do with size though, severely obese people can be malnourished. It’s all about lacking necessary vitamins / nutrients & minerals from their diet. So size isn’t really an indicator of malnourishment. She has age on her side, she barely ate anything, just one meal a day + snacks, & likely had a fast metabolism (which would have slowed as she got into her 20’s / 30’s). I used to work with a girl who ate everything in sight & who’s hip bones jutted out; honestly (no ED before you think it - I was good friends with her outside of work & we were very close in terms of knowing everything about one another), she just ate so much crap & had a fast metabolism. We lost contact after a few years when we went our separate ways, I saw her 5 years later, she’d put on a lot of weight, the poor eating had caught up with her. She was still beautiful, but it goes to show it doesn’t matter what your size is.. your insides can still be wrecked from eating crap, & it’ll eventually all catch up with you.

Why do people with food phobias always try to eat tomatoes when attempting to get over the phobias? Like, there’s waaaay better options that are closer to your go to food that you could tolerate

I cant help but blame the parents in these types of situations, for letting their kids become this way. When I was younger, if I refused to eat anything but potatoes, my mom would've shoved the vegetables down my throat 🤷‍♀️

Maybe see a doctor, you might have some sort of condition. Or look at how much (oil/milk/cheese/butter/salt/sugar and other) things typically added to a meal you're consuming. It's shocking how many calories they can add up to! 😓

that is soo funny omg, i cant get enough of people over exaggerating things! i so wish people would do it more. sarcasm is more my cup of tea tho 8) also eating junk food doesnt make u fat! its the amount u eat and how many calories u burn! honestly i really feel they dont teach this to people considering how often this view is expressed and how fat a good portion of the population is

d3g3n3r4t3 Yeah, I eat chips/crisps every weekend. But not a whole bag of them, just a small bowl or two. I have sweets every day, but only 2 small sweets maybe the size of a cherry. I don’t drink water, I don’t like the taste, I only drink squash/lemonade, but I do try to drink it quite watered down. I’m 135lbs and 5’8.

@@AnataWaDareDesuKa dang seems like u got a decent figure ;P sux being short, im 5'6" 150, pretty fit tho i wish id get more active again. 8) rly hope u start drinking more water its the best next to liquor rofl jk. blah water doesnt have a taste ;P maybe its the tap water where u live, try to find one of those water fill up stations that are reverse osmosis it should have little to no taste and better for u than tap water also i recently came across low carb high fat diet and it makes alot of sense, seems to be much better for health being as carbs are not necessary to live. so im kinda adjusting my statement that snacks do kinda make u fat if they are carbs because the body has to burn the carbs before it wants to burn fat because carbs add to blood sugar which is bad for the body to have high blood sugar, if there are no sugars (carbs) for the body to burn then it burns fat, and will turn some of that fat into the sugar needed for the brain to run. sry for the science lecture heh. send pics 8) lol jk

Gut bacteria and the general state of the gut biome is an extremely strong source of emotions. We don't talk about this enoug! Especially on this show - they never talk about the gut! Give this girl some prebiotic foods, probiotics, and she can slowly start to wean off the sugar which her bad gut bacteria craves. Google: the gut and your emotions, and you will see tons of evidence that sugar consumption is linked to anxiety and depressive moods... but they always just go at the problem from a mental/emotional angle (past traumas, mindset, childhood-kept behavious, etc.), rather than also incorporating a microbiological angle - which is that the gut needs an overhaul, too.
