Because people underestimate just how much sugar they consume. Case in point, fruit juices or soda.You drink one small glass of coke and you've already blown your daily allowance for simple sugars. When you have a food aversion, it's not just a dislike of certain foods. It's wanting to eat those foods but not being able to because your body rejects it. I had a severe food aversion like hers when I was younger due to a frequently missed neurodevelopmental condition, called Sensory Processing Disorder, or SPD, which is where the brain doesn't filter your senses properly, resulting in what is called a sensory overload, where the brain gets overstimulated. I now eat almost anything, but, I can't stomach raw tomatoes because the texture makes me feel like I'm choking.

@LauraBidingCitizen5 жыл бұрын
Kaja Magdalena That’s nothing to do with size though, severely obese people can be malnourished. It’s all about lacking necessary vitamins / nutrients & minerals from their diet. So size isn’t really an indicator of malnourishment. She has age on her side, she barely ate anything, just one meal a day + snacks, & likely had a fast metabolism (which would have slowed as she got into her 20’s / 30’s). I used to work with a girl who ate everything in sight & who’s hip bones jutted out; honestly (no ED before you think it - I was good friends with her outside of work & we were very close in terms of knowing everything about one another), she just ate so much crap & had a fast metabolism. We lost contact after a few years when we went our separate ways, I saw her 5 years later, she’d put on a lot of weight, the poor eating had caught up with her. She was still beautiful, but it goes to show it doesn’t matter what your size is.. your insides can still be wrecked from eating crap, & it’ll eventually all catch up with you.

My nephew of 40 is exactly the same. He used to eat everything as a kid, but as he grew up he didn't want fruit and veg anymore. He won't even eat apple pie???

Gut bacteria and the general state of the gut biome is an extremely strong source of emotions. We don't talk about this enoug! Especially on this show - they never talk about the gut! Give this girl some prebiotic foods, probiotics, and she can slowly start to wean off the sugar which her bad gut bacteria craves. Google: the gut and your emotions, and you will see tons of evidence that sugar consumption is linked to anxiety and depressive moods... but they always just go at the problem from a mental/emotional angle (past traumas, mindset, childhood-kept behavious, etc.), rather than also incorporating a microbiological angle - which is that the gut needs an overhaul, too.

Avocados over bananas, because bananas are too high in carbs and spike your blood sugar.
