Huskies are natural born skiers. They really come to their own in the cold wild snowy environments. They are not meant for cramped city living.

Absolutely! Most dog breeds were created with a purpose. We have taken that purpose and thrown it away just because of the "cuteness factor" of the animal. But once you start using the dog in different ways from where they were meant to do, that is when you find all the common issues: destruction, anxiety, barking, chewing, fighting and so on. I think the only dog I've seen that was created for only looking cute and staying next to you all day without issue is the pug.

Huskies are closest to wolves and wolves are a free spirit. He clearly needed to be apart of the outdoors. I have a husky....must learn to ski 😂😂😂 1:14 thank God my boys pretty chill 😅. Whenever I see other peoples stories I have to realize my dog was practically an angel. Very few potty accidents, and he only tore into a few things from anxiety and boredom. I grudgingly crate trained him and now he doesn't even use it! 2:30 true and it's sad. I don't want to have to take my dog to a dog park for him to be free to roam and run. 😢 I'm happy they have this bond 😊. They both look so joyful. 😂❤

My husky/shepherd used to get my pitbulls howling like a pack of wolves-hilarious. He was a serious snake-killer, now he's been gone a few years and the snakes are everywhere. RIP buddy.

That's what happened with my dog. Was pacing the house and destroying everything until I took him to the trails with my mountain-bike. I now have the best ride companion/trail dog. Follows me everywhere, he blows off some steam and is a great ambassador/friend to everyone at the trail head.

The shelters are overflowing with huskies because people admire their beauty but underestimate their need for exercise & stimulation. Amazing that this woman made a choice to change her life for her dog, rather than dump her dog because she was failing with making him fit into her life. Great role model, great lesson to other dog parents and a great mom. You rock!!!

Those dogs need so much exercise. I got to know one woman who would lock hers in an apartment north of Chicago, trying to exercise it as much as possible. It just wasn’t enough. I felt so sorry for the dog.
