A woman apologized after a video showed her and her husband confronting a man and threatening to call police because he stenciled “Black Lives Matter” on his San Francisco property. The video has sparked accusations of racism and led a cosmetics distributor to cut ties with Lisa Alexander.

Now CBS News owes an apology for not doing journalism and not giving the whole story. Shows that just because she didn’t provide her story at the time doesn’t make her wrong! People have the right to remain silent, she was exercising that and how hard would it have been to find out that this guy was renting and was not the landlord and figure out that maybe this lady was trying to stick up for the owner’s property? This lady was tired of vandalism, was trying to stick up for the owner that this guy was leasing from. Good for her. I remember someone vandalized BLM across an American flag concrete slab off of I-680 through the Sunol Grade during that same time, it was getting ridiculous the amount of entitlement and disrespect some of the more extreme BLM supporters had. i've had this happen to me, twice. i live in a high rise in chicago, and a month after i moved in, i was waiting in the lobby for a grocery order, and a white lady (maybe mid 30s/early 40s) asks me if I live here. Told her yes. She just says "oh" and stands there for a few minutes. Long story short, she followed me up to my apartment with my groceries to make sure I was a resident there. I asked her name, and turned it into my leasing office with what happened, and they literally started posting signs next to every elevator saying "Please do not disturb other residents. Keep to yourselves." My leasing manager is also black. Glad she had my back.

That is what makes her so especially guilty, blatantly lying about supposedly knowing the owner, so entitled that she thought it would never come back to embarrass and humiliate her, as it has done. The guy with her lost his position in a local company, financial management, I believe it was, just for being her accomplice. Her apology was obviously just an attempt at damage control, but failing to apologize to him personally exposes her lack of any remorse.

I always go back to this terrifying video. She reminds me of the IT clown. My mother is an educated Hispanic woman. There was never any talk about black and white people being different. My god mother was black. She took me to her church, I loved that black church. My stepfather had a body shop and his partner was black. I was best friends with his daughter Bianca. My best friend growing up was black. One of the most highly educated people I’ve ever met. A now, successful KZbinr. And my baby dolls were white or black.
