He wanted to go to school to get more certification for tech work, which is admirable, but he whined and stopped taking shifts at the pizzeria. He would say he don't like it because it's beneath him. His destiny was to be a computer genius, not a pizza driver. And instead of looking for a local, affordable school, he had this delusion that he *had* to go to MIT. My mother finally kicked him out when we, their children, begged her to do it. She later told us that she kept him around so we would have a father in our lives.
