I've only ditched a girl once mid-date and it was because she refused to get off her phone. We were at a restaurant and she was texting and scrolling through social media the entire time, I even asked her to put it away which she did for like 5 minutes before pulling it back out, taking selfies, pics of her food to add to her story etc. So I "excused" myself to the restroom, walked out, left her to pay the bill, and blocked her. It was a dick move but I felt she deserved it

I don't blame you, it's rude to ignore the people you are with. Some just don't know how to socialize anymore without their phones/devices. People are way to addicted to their devices and are uncomfortable with silence or boredom. I think people have missed another possible reason that this girl might have ditched this guy. To make herself feel better that she can reject someone. I've run into a few girls like that. They reject someone over trivial crap and blow things out of proportion so they can pat themselves on the back and elevate themselves over other people. It's a power trip for them. It's sad
@mjkittredge Жыл бұрын
Exactly, you make a good point. For some of them it really is just power tripping. Often because of some trauma they suffered from a man they were really into rejecting them. So they go down the pecking order and try to reject a guy as brutally as they can to 'regain' their lost power and soothe their wounded ego. It's their revenge tour against all men. Or they're just sadists who enjoy power tripping and don't need any other reason to do it.

There's "cheap" and then there's "frugal". Here's the difference between the two: Costco's often have gas stations with cheap gasoline that's about 20 cents cheaper than elsewhere. Hey, fill up your tank and you save $2.50 which is great. But... sometimes I see a line for it that's 10 cars deep (with 2 pumps each line.) And you wouldn't believe how many people trying to fill up act as if this is the first time they ever saw a gas pump and it takes them 5 minutes to get started. I saw folks with high end BMW's waiting a half hour to save $2.50. That's CHEAP. To me, it wasn't worth less than minimum wage for me to fill up gas on my Saturday morning. Frugal means knowing a value. Dollar store toilet paper costs more than at Costco in bulk. Or better yet, grocery store toilet paper ON SALE, costs less than Costco toilet paper.

Courtney, I appreciate being sympathetic to men. I’m chuckling because back in 1990 I had an urbane woman like this get disgusted about me when I griped about a cup of hot tea that cost $5 but was just a teabag and hot water. She looked at me as if I pulled out a dead kitten. I didn’t laugh out loud, but internally I was amused because to Eastern Europeans, tea is sacred (and my wife gets that!) Many women treat men on first dates like contestants on Japanese Game Shows where if he makes the slightest mistake, he’s out. Didn’t “enjoy” paying enough? Didn’t throw money around to impress everyone? Got a “doggie bag”? Note that women who claim to “care about the server” with high tips aren’t caring because they care about these people who work hard, they just want to show off their importance in how much money they can get a man to spend for them. Back 30 years ago, people were saying that something is “wrong” with me, or even just strange, in that I didn’t LIKE being on these dates. I didn’t think that this was a “good time”. I’m chuckling in that initially, I griped that it was “too much like a job interview” and then, I found a way to enjoy ACTUAL job interviews. But yeah, this is not shocking to most of us men in that this kind of pettiness has been the norm for at least 30 years.

She said she would have to walk home so I offered to take her to her apartment and drop her off which she refused and I was relieved. Later she did tell me she was not interested in seeing me again and I expected that and told her that I hoped she met someone who she liked and moved on. Those kinds of definite bad dates where the lady is not interested are kinda irritating but frankly they happen. It doesn't matter who you are you're not everybody's cup of tea. In reality, it wasn't far from her place at all, but in retrospect, I understand that she was applying a 'sh*t test'. Or, maybe she was just crazy. To make a long story short, I told her that I wasn't going to apologize over something so trivial and inoffensive and ended things there. This was twelve years ago. So she walked off angry. And then when I went to leave the place, her husband, and his two friends tried to force me to apologize under threat of violence. Sadly, we're back to tik tok. Yes, I have seen this video before and the guy reacted to it in a similar fashion as here. So what we have is another tik tok creator getting attention for her shock value content. This is one person who wanted to be controversial and did a great job. This is not something men in the real world will have to deal with on any significant level. She posted this video for attention, and the dating gurus gave it to her. We need to stop giving these people the time of day. Consider that we don't even known if this date ever happened.

This is exactly THE reason why I don’t want relationships anymore. Setting up and going on dates are never the same anymore. Being ditched during a date or get ghosted/blocked after one seems to be the new solution nowadays, instead of being mature and coming forward by telling the truth. Sht like that is a waste of my time for me. I’m done with this dating scene today. Nonetheless, I’m enjoying working out, being wealthy and living my best life as a single guy.

Happy living your best life? Bullshit. So you got ghosted. You dodged a bullet. It definitely doesn't mean you give up. Your best life is nothing without someone to share it with. Be honest. We all want that and there's nothing wrong with that. Dust yourself off and try again lika Aaliyah would say. It could be worth it at the end of the day my dude. There are some good ones out there. Don't give up.

It is actually better to have someone to build memories and share travel and other things with... you might have to sift through 1,000 women to find the right one who has the interest level and values you want, but they are out there. Stay away from hookup apps. Be open to dating women that aren't perfect 10s, who have some integrity and value themselves enough not to put out easily. You can get a nice 6-7 who takes care of herself that might actually appreciate you and brings something of value to the table and is fun to be with.

What that woman probably doesn’t realize is it’s the guys who are like this who are the most wealthy later on. Unless they inherited their money, all the wealthy people I know are like this. How do you think they ended up this way? She’s going to attract the very person she doesn’t want and she uploaded a video showing the entire world this.
@its_clean Жыл бұрын
Not all wealthy people think like that though. As a person who has a little money (but certainly not textbook wealthy), I subscribe to the philosophy of "spend whatever it costs on what you want, spend zero on what you don't". If I wanted cheese on a burger, I'd just get it. If I want my car to be a certain color that costs more than the others, I'd just pay for the optional paint. But I wouldn't pay for the sunroof or the carbon fiber whatever, even if that's "expected" on the types of cars I buy, because I have zero interest in those features. In my experience, smart people with money are not stingy or excessively frugal. They spend money without hesitation on things they need, things that bring them happiness, and especially things that save time. They just don't waste.
@angrypenguin956 Жыл бұрын
@@its_clean I am on the same page, but it's also true that I know quite a few people who have pretty decent means and got there by watching every penny they spent. A couple of them could accomplish that on a relatively modest salary.
@its_clean Жыл бұрын
@@angrypenguin956 Nothing wrong with watching your pennies, but what matters is where you watch them. If you don't like cheese that much in the first place, then obviously don't get it. But if you like cheese and you want it, but you don't want to pay for it, then there are only two reasons for that: either you can afford it and you're denying yourself enjoyment just to save a few bucks, or you can't afford the $3 charge and you probably shouldn't be at that restaurant in the first place. The chick in the video has a terrible attitude and deserves to be shamed. But the dude she was out with was also not necessarily right. There isn't always a winner in every situation. I told her I live on 60,000 and without notice she started to get up, but I stopped her and confronted her about why she got up. She said I did not make enough money to date her. I then told her I run my own business and make over a 1,000,000 a year. She perked up, but I knew I had a gold digger on my hands, so I got up and left. It was awesome for me to confront her and the look when I got up still makes my smile. I now date an attractive engineer who does modeling on the side and she could care less about my money.

When I told her "No", she replied with "It isn't like you are paying for it" eh, yeah I am paying for it... just because I am putting it on my credit card doesn't mean I am not paying for it. Then it became, "I am not begging for this" and I said "I don't want you to beg, we have a budget and it is well over what I wanted to have." She had Zero respect for me and our situation. Btw, she wasn't working and I was paying for everything...even the things I didn't want to buy. Like her Cigarettes which I can't even be near because I have Cystic Fibrosis... I was also putting things back that I wanted for myself because she kept adding things to the cart...

Based off what you said not sure why you were even dating her in the first place

@@tastefullys I cannot speak for Vorylenus, of course, but among the things I've picked up over the years is that those kinds of relationships often start with a strong physical attraction, which is great at first. But as time goes by the calibre of our characters becomes more prominent, and by then a roll in the hay cannot compensate for all the aggravation one has to deal with all the time.

@@Vorylenus glad she’s your ex now. I’ve known many women like that too.

nearly the exact same thing happened to me. I was dating this girl and she promised to cook for me, so we went grocery shopping. She kept adding more and more stuff to the cart, pineapples and melons etc. I didn't have a lot of money at the time and it was getting out of control. I finally put my foot down and said no more, and she had a little pouty hissy fit tantrum at me. "I WANTED FRUUUUIIIT!" I held firm and she pouted the whole way home. When she finally cooked and then refused to share any with me, that was the final straw. I ended it with her and she threw another fit at me. Female entitlement these days is absolutely disgusting.

I wonder if it was the question about the extra charge for cheese, him declining to add $3 for a slice of cheese (which IS exorbitant & the menu should clearly STATE extra charges so u don’t have to ask) or the added comment about how u have to pay extra for everything these days that got her ... maybe if he had just politely declined the cheese ...

I dont even want to imagine how the conversations with that lady went throughout the date. Dude got away with a free meal and never having to see that lady again. Two big wins 👍

That woman's action was a huge red flag. That woman needs a dose of humility. She seems far too entitled.

I thought I had found the love of my life so many years ago, but near the end, the X was cheating and even admitted to stealing thousands of dollars from my accounts. Today, 10/22/23, I am DEAD set on never dating and not entering a relationship with a modern American woman - Period! You, toxic nut cases, are done!

Loved that story! It's a perfect example of a blessing in disguise! He's probably moved on another lady who is much more compatible! Nice!!

I've experienced something similar. Her father is rich but always tries to save money with everything, up to the point of wanting to sell their old car instead of giving it to her, which she of course hated a lot. Then came I, at the time a student without a job. I was at her place for a week or so. I looked at the prices of some things and/or complained about them just a little too much (but still paid up), she collected resentment over it and shortly after dumped me. But when it came to food, she had only the cheapest, most basic and effortless meals to offer, and then even wanted me to heat (can hardly call it cooking) half of them. I am just now realizing how hypocritical she was there... Be what you want to attract!!!
