@@KimP0612 it sure was. The legal part doesn't always work for rebellious spirits. I was sober the first 32 years of my life never touched anything. Then a serious back injury began my journey out of life as I knew it. The police to pretrial diversion program is what got my brain back focused on staying out of jail. Jail was new to me and in my forties it just wasn't what I needed at that stage. So I followed their lead and jumped the hoops to find myself again. 8 going on my 9th yr. A couple of beautiful nurses also were key to kicking opiates and benzos 3 different ones. Thank you.

Alcohol is a diuretic which means it inhibits the production of a certain chemical that keeps the water in the body. So it means not only are people who have drunk a fair bit inclined to urinate more because of the increased fluid intake the body is also being stripped of the water retained in the body as part of our normal day to day functions. So there is a good reason why these DUI/DWI cases have to pee more than the normal person. Top that - women who have had children & the elderly sometimes lose bladder control. There is no excuse for them being insufferable idiots but usually the desperation to pee urgently is real.

Lived there in WI. It explains a lot why almost half the population (at least when I lived there) has at least one OWI. They also have almost no decent access to treatment centers and let 18-year-olds bartend. (I was one myself at 18- which I had no business being) The Alcoholic Anonymous places are mostly awful, too. I started drinking heavily very young. It's the culture there, especially in rural areas. No Uber or Lyft in 90% of the state, so everyone in the country drives drunk, or worse- takes thier kids to the bar and have them drive them home. I have always had a weak bladder and must use a restroom at least once an hour. I also have dry mouth with my partials so I drink about two gallons of water every day. I live in Florida and do not use A/C. Now that it is a very hot summer sometimes I don't make it inside to use the restroom so I use my outside bucket. This makes it difficult to go away for more than an hour.
