Looked up the case. She was not just lightly burned. Her skin literally melted off her entire groin area. She had extensive surgery and spent quite a long time in the hospital. And the defendant was actually arrested and convicted in 2018. She got 5 years, suspended after 1 year served and 3 years probation. Just wow!!!

the yellow portion is added in later, they copy the document and highlight specific parts of it. i saw a prior episode from like 2012 where they had someone read out their answer they wrote to the judge, and on the screen the bits he was reading were highlighted, even when he just changed sentences from one to the next. the other parts that had been yellow prior were clear.
