I went to school with a girl who was pregnant and her stomach NEVER showed. The only way we found out was when she was absent for a few days. Her twin sister was in the same class and she was the one who told us about her sister.

It's the adrenaline rush you get after to. My labor and delivery with my first was so awful.. over 36 hours long.. I was induced so the contractions were worse. The bubble guts she was feeling was actually probably the baby moving. When I was about 20 weeks along & my hubby asked what it felt like to have our baby moving around inside me I explained it as bubble guts or like butterflies fluttering around. Now that I’m 35 weeks along you can definitely see the movement on the top of my skin. Lol but if the placenta is closer to the belly button than the spine it’s like kicking into a pillow or pad. It masks the movement. It’s so crazy that so many women end up going into labor without ever knowing they were pregnant. I’m just so in tune with my body that i feel like this would NEVER happen to me. I can even tell when I’m about to be in my fertile window & when I’m ovulating !

It entirely depends. Some women don't feel much pain at all. My mum had 2 babies with no pain meds or epidurals, both water births, she said it didn't hurt. She said the most annoying thing was that she was having contractions for a fairly long time before going into labour (like 24 hrs), and though not painful, they prevented her from sleeping so she was exhausted more than anything else. Whenever we watch a movie where a woman is giving birth and screaming, she says come on, it's not that bad! lol

This is fair, labor is quite painful, but I PROMISE you a lot of the pain in these stories is due to panic and fear. They have zero clue what is happening, they aren't mentally prepared, they think something horrible is happening to them, an emergency, that they could be on their way to dying..... As someone who has gone through an unmedicated birth, if you mentally prepare and understand the steps of labor it goes a long way in making the pain more manageable.

The thing I don’t get about these stories, a lot of these women have kids prior to the unknown pregnancy. Wouldn’t they know what labor pains feel like once they’re kit with them again? They all seem so surprised by the pain but surly they’ve felt it before from their first pregnancy?
@sofiaemerick47904 жыл бұрын
Every pregnancy and birth is different. Also they probably used an epidural during their previous pregnancies, so they wouldn't know what the pain feels like
@torirose97724 жыл бұрын
Sofia Emerick well yes every pregnancies is different, but they all go along the same line. So every woman is going to experience contractions, and you’d think if a woman has had a previous child they’d know what it feels like when their uterus contracts. And yes they could’ve had epidurals in their past pregnancies, but before they can get an epidural they’d need to feel a couple contractions to know that they’re in labor.

My first child is an April Fool's baby (I had the feeling for many weeks before he was born that I would go into labour in my 39th week... to the day I did and the next day he was born). It's aweful that she couldn't afford an ambulance and had to drive herself, that was a priority for me that I have ambulance cover where I live (in Australia) and I have premium which also covers labour (some don't cover the baby so if the baby is born in the ambulance the child could cost you his/her ride even though you are insured!)

I'm on the pill and my husband doesn't use a condom. Due to my pill, I don't get periods but every now and then I spot very little. What's crazy is that I get majority of the pregnancy symptoms all the time due to other things. I have a 12 year old already. When I watch stuff like this, I think I could be pregnant. Lol I also keep forgetting my pill but luckily remember the next day and take two. It won't be a big deal if I was though cause we'd like to start trying sometime soon anyway but it creeps me out to think I could be and not know it. I know someone in their late 40s who didn't have a period for a year when she found out she was 6 months along with a baby girl who's now named Cassidy.

You can have bleeding throughout a pregnancy that looks exactly like a period, plus some women have irregular periods anyway

I had "periods" during all 3 of my pregnancies. It was caused by endometriosis. And typically, you don't get pregnant with this disease. Blessed to have had 3 beautiful sons.
