I do appreciate you saving the bumblebee, though in case you are not aware, bumblebees (also called drones) are actually the only male bees in the colony. They are not agressive, and do not have stingers, so if you are allergic you can safely handle them. Unlike the females they only live for a few months @ most. The Queen & Workers may live several years. At the onset of winter they are forced out of the hive to starve & freeze to death. Those that refuse to leave are stung to death & dragged out.

She's a solitary bee. You can tell by her body shape (round and bumbly) and her colours. She's a bumble bee. Some of them live in earth caves. There is a variety of solitary bees, some digging into wood, some collecting moist clay to build homes. You can attract some of them to build a summer nest or a winter shelter in your garden or at your balcony and offer them suitable flowers.

Not everything, she couldnt go back to her nest. The bee probably wanted to go back, but couldnt due to broken wing. It was probably feeling a bit of depression. Although the actions it was doing throughout it's life was probably helping. I'm no bee expert, but they are programmed to go back to their nest What happens when you are unable to do a part of your programming?

Please don't feed them honey. It's poison for them because of the bacteria it could contain. Sometimes they rest on things because it's cold for them to fly. That's normal, when the sun starts shining or the temperature is rising they fly again.
