OMG I went through this but with the IRS! Took 3 damn years to straitened out. And also had someone on a phone appointment keep putting me on hold to attend to a screaming baby, then keep telling me “Ma’am! I keep explaining to you that social security knows you’re alive!” I said, “Yes, I am the one who went to them & got them to send you guys the letter telling YOU I’m alive!” They hire idiots :/
