Watched Stephanie Soo’s full video on this. The taxi dropped her off and then hung around the park because he knew she would call a taxi for her ride back which she did. When she was heading back to the taxi, he could tell the suitcase was much lighter by the way she was carrying it. Then he called the cops after.

So basically should would have gotten away with it if she had her own ride.

@@Max25670Probably not, they would’ve eventually traced it back to her from the tutoring app and the CCTV cause Korea has a lot of CCTV. Cars are also required by law to have a black box in Korea so even if she had her own car and deleted the footage or removed the camera, that would immediately raise suspicion

I don’t believe her when she says “just wanted to know what it would feel like” When you look into her background a bit more, she wanted to become an English tutor even though her English skills weren’t good enough to be a tutor and when she got job interviews, she would never get hired because she seemed like she did not care and didn’t want to work there. I believe she also called back a job interviewer and was like enraged asking why they didn’t hire her. To me, it honestly seems like she has a lot of unjustified rage for her current life situation without ever trying to do anything with her life

5:59 The most obvious thing would’ve been to fill the suitcase up with rocks or dirt so it doesn’t look empty. I mean the taxi driver was so unsettled that he called the cops because this girl got into his taxi with a heavy ass suitcase in the middle of the night, got out at a park, and came back with the suitcase that now appeared to be empty. Like what reason would there be for anyone to go to a park in the middle of the night with a full suitcase and leave with an empty one??? The whole case is so weird because it’s like she didn’t even try to get away with it?

The part about been people weird reminds me of a friend I have. Growing up he was always considered a socially awkward person. He dressed in a suit and brought a briefcase to school since elementary school and even in high school. I always knew him at the weird guy that was always walking around with his briefcase alone during lunch talking to himself, until I approached him and got to know him. He is down to earth, extremely smart, just fascinated with history and even though sometimes he had weird thoughts like he remembers his past life as a WWII pilot, it never made me feel uncomfortable. Point is, not everyone who is weird may be a bad person.

I watched a full video on this case. One important thing to note about her, she apparently only grew up with her grandfather. It’s unknown what her relationship is with her parents or if she was even raised by them. One string I’ve tied together is that this case is almost verbatim, a carbon copy of the “don’t f*ck with cats” documentary case. Everything from the social awkwardness, replicating or being inspired by a favourite movie, doing it to just see what it felt like, and get this, they both wore their victim’s clothing, after committing the gruesome acts. It’s quite scary how two people that never met, essentially committed the same crime, in two completely different countries.

We as a society are suppose to work together and correct each other's social behavior that are deemed inappropriate, but in this current climate, everything is so damn overly sensitive. You see parents going nuts when another parent is trying to discipline a group of kids at the park or something whereas growing up, the neighborhood raised each other's children. It takes a village to raise the youth. Now it's like oh don't tell my kid what to do, don't do this, can't say that, blah blah blah. It's too damn overly sensitive.

Very true. In fact, I have noticed a lot of stories lately where the parents start throwing down to the other parents. It even happened recently around here at a high school graduation ceremony. People started mass exiting the building trying to get away from it and the cops had to be called. Heck of an example that they are showing to the kids.
