She's genuinely a wonderful person, otherwise those horses wouldn't be within a mile of her, especially when they're turned out into the large pasture. They _want_ to be with her, and that says everything you ever need to know about a person. If a horse or a dog (depending on the breed of dog - some are too skittish and others too trusting to give the complete picture of what they think about someone) trusts you enough to lie down next to you, you're as good a person as it's possible to be. I wish them many happy, healthy years together ❤️

no, it's not depending on the 'breed' of a dog. That's your misinformed thinking grossly overgeneralising. Dogs are individuals with different personalities regardless of breed. Yes, if animals intuitively like you, it shows they trust someone safe.

The wild horses in Nevada are often auctioned off for cheap with the condition that the horses be taken care of.... bu tit's an open secret that a lot of those horses end up in either abusive environments or get sent to be slaughtered. The whole thing is pretty upsetting and i commend people who go out of their way to really care for these wild horses.

You are right lot of the wild mustangs are mistreated and put in the wrong environment and a lot of them do end up being taken to the slaughterhouse and on top of that a lot of them do end up starve to death by being out in the wild because of not being able to find food to eat or drinking water such a very sad situation for them I wish the government could find one big massive piece of land that they can section off that's big enough for every single mustang there is in this world to where we can protect them from poachers and people that want to kill or harm all we can do is pray to God for their safety and their protection from poachers and people that want to kill or harm them 😢😢🐎🐎🌹🌹🙏🙏

@pj61173 жыл бұрын
The only free roaming wild horses in Florida are the "cracker pony" herd in part of Paynes Prairie State Park. If that is not where you were, these may have been wild horses who were captured and are now (fortunately) part of a sanctuary. Just clarifying that we do not have the wild horse herds that exist out West, though Florida has quite a few mustangs that have been rounded up and relocated, and a few sanctuaries. 😁
@Hunter2253 жыл бұрын
@@pj6117 There were 3 wild horses in Payne's prairie. They were put down 5 yrs ago after contracting feline equestrian encephalitis. This illness also spreads to people. My best friend contracted it, and spent a month in the hospital. I have camped there. I also used to work there with a biologist.

The government already takes care of them. They are on BLM land. That isn't the issue. The lack of grazing material, harsh winters cause starvation which leads to culling the herds to insure they'll survive. This is why you can adopt a Mustang, so they'll survive.

@@deplorablelibertarian I would agree except is it not this administration, though they are not changing the horrendous policies of the last one. But it has been EVERY, EVERY administration. There isn't enough food and water for the wild herds because they don't have natural predators to keep their populations in balance with the environment, so the Beauru of Land Management rounds up some of the extra horses each year to make sure the ones left free can have enough food and water to be healthy. If they did not do this, many many horses would become sick and weak, leading to diseases and deaths. By thinning the herds, the mustangs are kept balanced with the available environmental resources. The horses that are rounded up are put up for adoption, like the two in this video. While sadly not all adopters are as wonderful as the lady here, there are still thousands of horses who are able to live and be well because of long-term management programs and adoptions, horses who might have starved and died otherwise. I won't say there are no problems with the programs, but it's better than doing nothing.
