Yes, he's such a kind person. Notice the older man getting in place for a photo with him, then giving him space, and the Guard (I know his name but don't want to mention it) repaying his respect by moving closer to the man? He's such a thoughtful Guard. He makes me so proud to be British.

His name is Pete, I met him last week, he can't be more than about 21. PETE is the Guard who went viral, a few months ago, for steeping next to a Down's Syndrome Man to improve the photo. He's very humble, and kind.
@IRTfan338 ай бұрын
@@harrietblanca4889How do you know his name is Pete? Did you ask him? He doesn't normally speak to anyone. I've been trying to find out his first name but have been unable to.
@harrietblanca48898 ай бұрын
@@IRTfan33 I was talking to his Colonel, mentioned how nice I thought the guard in the viral clip with the Downs Syndrome Man was, and said I hoped he didn't get in trouble for the kind gesture. His Colonel said he didn't, I told him how sweet I thought it was for the guard to do. He said, 'YOU SHOULD TELL HIM YOURSELF." Then he shouted to the guard, who came racing over. The Colonel introduced us, saying the guard's name was Pete. Then, the three of us chatted about a variety of things, for about 15 minutes, including the viral video. Pete is just lovely, thick dark hair, dark brown eyes and a real baby face. He looks very young, about 21. Pete told me his uncle had Downs, so he understood how important it was for the man to get a proper photo standing next to the King's Guard. I was so touched by this, Pete is a True Gent. Sorry, I don't want to put his last name here, I don't think that would be fair to Pete, nor do I think he'd want the attention, he seems like a very humble young man. So, yes his name is Pete. Hope this answers your question. Have a nice evening. Sincerely, Harriet.

@@harrietblanca4889 Thank you so much Harriet for your reply. You are so lucky to have been able to speak with this guard, and also his Colonel. I'm so pleased to have found out his true identity, and don't worry about his surname as I already know what it is. I've seen a couple of videos of him on KZbin when he's been off duty, and he's as handsome out of uniform as he is in uniform. He has such a gentle and caring nature when it comes to special needs people, babies, children, and even gives kisses to the horses. He has certainly caused a hit with a lot of females on here, including me, with his kind deeds and his good looks. I've read that he has a girlfriend, and all I can say is that she's a very lucky girl and the envy of us females who he has swooning over him 🙂 Thank you very much for replying to me and explaining how you found out this Guard's name. I just love the stare he gives some people when they're annoying him. I managed to take some photos of him from off my computer using my phone, and have one of him on my lock screen on my phone. He's just gorgeous, and his family and girlfriend must be so proud of him. I respect this young guard. Thank you once again Harriet and may God bless you.

When the old guy in the blue top stood beside him he respectfully moved a little away from him but the trooper actually moved closer to him to get a better pic. Speak to them say hello thank him for his service or how well he has prepared his kit. They cannot reply but it will give him some thanks in return without him having to break silence or gesture his thanks Am told but cannot 100% say it’s true, it may be army rumour when I was in but girls alledged ly and still May used to put their names and numbers down the top of their boots, same with the mounted troopers

I’d like to know if tourists are allowed to behave like this in other capital cities, getting so close and so rude with a country’s military. Certainly not in Rome or Paris. Not all the tourists are rude but most do stand too close. Not many thank them.

I bet they're not allowed😂

All the tourists here aren't foreigners, lots are British too and British tourists aren't exactly the ones who behave the best when abroad...
@SMariaKS4 ай бұрын
@@shizukagozen777 There are some British people who behave badly abroad. But your comment is a sweeping statement. There are a lot of British people who behave better than other nationalities abroad. Rudeness and disrespect of staff in hotels is something that is done by the very nationalities I’ve seen on here behaving here just the same. But disrespecting military personnel and police is not acceptable or tolerated in other countries. I havent said ALL the tourists are behaving badly. But the ones who do deserve to be criticised. Unlike your attitude. There are many British holidaymakers who go on holiday all over the world and are warmly received and are welcomed back to the same places. You unfortunately are not aware of that. Very narrow view.

@@SMariaKS Don't worry, I'm very aware of that, I'm just generalizing to remind British people on those channels to temper their hate of foreigner tourists when British tourists themselves have such a bad reputation all over Europe (this is not from me, this is a study done in Europe so each european country gave an answer that is independent of my opinion). Some comments here from non British people have confirmed it too so if you're you're mad at me for putting here a simple fact, well, just know that I didn't come up with that.

Hate when they think it’s funny directly behind the guard.

Surely the owner of that shoe must've noticed.

It's only a kiddies shoe,they may have been in a pushchair and it fell off. This happens a lot and someone picks it up and leaves it in clear view on top of the bollard in case they come back to look for it

thank you. This must be the place they teased us (shame) in the headline.Whenever I see videos of the guards, I remember that they are HIGHLY trained to protect (the jewels or the royality.)
