I don’t think the Kings guards will be bothered by the young pathetic tourists. It’s a showing up for the kids who are behaving childishly and just showing off. They’ll probably never achieve what these young men and women have who are in the elite military. But a reflection on how they are being raised to not show respect in another country. Without being able to control these disrespectful tourists, their bosses have effectively "defanged" these guards. Without the authority to regulate any kind of enforcement, you have demoted them to exactly what the tourists believe them to be: nothing but actors in soldier's uniforms and photo ops, doing what they please and act how they please to these guards and horses. It seems that making fun of these real guards are what drives them to film and going viral. When, and only when, these guards and horses are harmed, will any of them see that these guards are the elite of the elite and should be protected, respected, and honored. It is amazing to me that the rest of the civilized world can see that these soldiers should be respected; but their own bosses do not. It seems that the honored tradition of these guards bends the knee to tourists getting their feelings hurt.
