No, no. Experienced divers can handle that just fine. The brave part is that they eat meat, and she was sticking her hand in its mouth. Also, the sound they make is so loud, they can blow out your ear drums, or vibrate you to death.

Probably best not to overwhelm the whale with multiple people that close. It was certainly brave of her. Sperm whales can kill a human with a single, purposeful bellow. The fact that this whale didn’t do that is a testament to its species’ vast intelligence.

There was another diver off to the right that looked like she was ready to help or did help. The video was edited to a short so we don’t know she didn’t have help. The world would be a better place if we could give each other the benefit of the doubt and think positively about each other instead of automatically assuming the worst of each other.

Definitely do not litter on the beach, but sadly a lot of coastal areas still just use the ocean as a landfill. I wish there could be some kind of law in place against it world wide but good luck trying to get the whole world to agree on anything, regardless of the consequences.

A huge part of our "recycling" just ends up as garbage in illegal dumps in island nations, eventually washed out to sea. So-called recycling companies refuse to tell the cities they service where their trash goes, proprietary information you know. Look it up.

Actually all sorts of marine animals literally come to reefs and don't attack fish there to lay down with open mouths to get the cleaner fish to give them a cleanup. It's a very common practice and some groups of animals have learned that particular types of humans can help so I assume they're basically understanding us as a mobile sort of doctors and cleaning station for particularly nasty problems.
