Woman Wrongly Accuses Black Man of Stealing Phone

A Black shopper is speaking out after being falsely accused of taking a woman’s phone that was actually in her purse all along. Kinley and his partner, whose name on TikTok is T, were shopping at a gift store in Palm Desert, California, when they noticed a woman was looking at them suspiciously. That’s when the woman said, “I just stuck [the phone] right here and you walked up behind me and you swiped it." Eventually, the woman found the phone in her purse, where it had been the whole time.

Imagine someone else had truly stolen and taken the phone away-emptying the pocket would still have calmed the accuser down. And even after he emptied his pockets, the woman still stated he had the phone. Not once did she say that maybe he passed it to his friend or told the young girl that she should also empty her pockets. The woman just kept pointing the finger at the man. Why didn’t she say it was both of them? The only answer I can gather is that because the girl isn’t black, so the woman didn’t bother to include her. I don't think it was initialy staged; she though her phone was stolen but at some point during the course of the whole ordeal (looking for the phone while accusing the guy), she actually found it. I guess because of her pride or out of shame she kept doing the act instead of accepting the blame until she was obligated by the clerk to dial her own phone
