A Black shopper is speaking out after being falsely accused of taking a woman’s phone that was actually in her purse all along. Kinley and his partner, whose name on TikTok is T, were shopping at a gift store in Palm Desert, California, when they noticed a woman was looking at them suspiciously. That’s when the woman said, “I just stuck [the phone] right here and you walked up behind me and you swiped it." Eventually, the woman found the phone in her purse, where it had been the whole time.

She accused him without proof or at the very least emptying her purse. That was a humiliating thing for that man to do. She only apologized to save face. When she realized the first time she found her phone she didn’t stop and apologize but continued so her apology means nothing. Just because she’s not getting physical or calling the cops doesn’t mean she gets a pat on the head for “not being the worse kind of Karen”. What a low bar.

I think she felt it in her purse, and THAT is why she didn't want the clerk to call her phone. "He could have silenced it." That's her deflecting from the idea of calling the phone. She's more interested in the narrative that a Black man robbed her than she is in getting the phone "back."

Why would she call it then? She could have just put in a fake number. Your argument sounds good but makes no sense. To people who have nothing nice to say and put others down from behind their computer screen and just being nasty… Not much left to say. Misery is always wanting others to be miserable too! Instead of being kind and positive. It’s really not necessary (being mean) and being kind should not be so difficult. Wishing everyone well. Truly! One of the oldest sayings, “If you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all!” Note: I don’t understand how someone can accuse another person of stealing and failed to look through their own purse. 🤦🏻‍♀️🥺. Emptying his pocket as a black man being accused of stealing is the most effective self-preservation technique in that situation in America. Imagine someone else had truly stolen and taken the phone away-emptying the pocket would still have calmed the accuser down. Otherwise, the situation would continue to escalate between the accused and his accuser, and someone could have called a cop. Unfortunately, a trigger-hungry racist cop might be the first responder, and that young innocent man could have been singing ‘HALLELUYAH’ in heaven by now.

This happened to me differently I got accused of delivering a wrong package into a work office at the hospital but the worker thought I did. At the moment he finally realized it wasn’t me instead it was someone else who delivered the wrong package. Then I was forgiven.

The thing that is disturbing to me is that yes, she's an idiot and shouldn't have accused anyone of stealing anything without properly looking but the way they titled it is nothing more than race baiting, and they know it. This had nothing to do with the fact that this man is black, but they make sure to put that in the title just like everything else they show to make people look racist. It's ridiculous and it's long past pathetic. Media just wants another civil war and if they keep it up, it is going to happen.

@@aurorasstorm5877 Actually, I wouldn’t agree this wasn’t about race. I’m not instigating here, but the man was with a friend (the person recording) who isn’t black. And even after he emptied his pockets, the woman still stated he had the phone. Not once did she say that maybe he passed it to his friend or told the young girl that she should also empty her pockets. The woman just kept pointing the finger at the man. Why didn’t she say it was both of them? The only answer I can gather is that because the girl isn’t black, so the woman didn’t bother to include her. Of course this is my opinion, but that’s what it looks like happened here.

She clearly just apologized cause she knew she wasn’t gonna get away with it. Really it took one person to dial her cellphone to find it? Did anybody notice how fast she found it when her phone started ringing? Clearly she stage the entire thing. If she had taken her time to actually look for her phone on her purse this could had being avoid. 🤔😑😑😑

I don't think it was initialy staged; she though her phone was stolen but at some point during the course of the whole ordeal (looking for the phone while accusing the guy), she actually found it. I guess because of her pride or out of shame she kept doing the act instead of accepting the blame until she was obligated by the clerk to dial her own phone
