I found your channel in 2021 and completely reformed myself. My Nana sent me one of your videos about three months ago, completely unaware that I found your channel, and now we have a commonality 😂 She really adores you and your brand. She was so pleased with me the last time she saw me and saw my new found femininity and elegance through my new wardrobe and mannerisms. I took a lot of inspiration from you and went and bought cashmere‘s, wool, and silks. Now, every time I leave my house I’m dressed to perfection and I get so many compliments and respect. I don’t even wear trousers anymore, only skirts and dresses, and I even started wearing modest head coverings. The attention I get is overwhelmingly positive from women as well as men (yes they do still give compliments and open doors for women of elegance) and I feel so confident now dressing in a manner that is appropriate for business, casual, church, or brunch at all times. I now have a positive self image by looking presentable and elegant and feel even prettier 💁🏽‍♀️💜 Thank you 🙏🏽

I came from a poor family, yet my mother love to sew and made me the most beautiful clothes as a child and teenager, with very little money she took me to the ballet, to learn to ballroom dance, to go to art galleries and so on. My favourite thing she said to me is “first impressions count you can dress with style without much money and look well put together, have manners and kindness” everyone used to think we lived in a beautiful home, little did they know we were poor. I have continued to care about my grooming and presentation all my life, I also learned about etiquette which helped me refine myself. My mum had wise words. It’s easy to look good on a budget, so there are no excuses. Being a kind person with manners is free too Thank you for such a great video, it reminded me of my wonderful wise mother.

Your mom was a wonderful mother. My mom passed when I was seven. I had to teach myself everything I know. As you said the impressions matter a lot. I learned to look good with little money or nothing that I have. I taught myself to dress very well using cheap clothes. My classmates in boarding school used to think I was a selfish girl who didn’t want to share with them. They used to think I come from a rich family based on my appearance.

Yes. however, we should not address someone poorly just because they are not properly dressed. Elegant ladies respect everyone no matter the attire. Let’s just remember people who don’t dress properly for an occasion is lacking knowledge. We should address that with empathy or as an opportunity to educate with purest intentions and not as if the person is less deserving of human respect.

I love this! I wish that etiquette and manners could be taught in schools as a requirement (not for a one day or week) along with real life skills such as personal hygiene, financial skills, gardening, taking care of small animals, volunteering in the community, simple cooking skills, and safety in various situations. Yes people may say these are things the parents or caregivers should instill in children, yeah but many don’t. I believe these are the most important skills to build strength and character in becoming a young adult and will carry a young person farther than what is currently taught in schools curriculum.

I have always had a problem with watching trash TV and shows that are completely mindless. We can all be entertained, but once we start talking about people on TV like we know them and want to analyze their silly behavior, it goes too far. These should be the basics for all women, but sadly not all of us were taught these things (I was, by my mother and grandfather). I need to find classy ladies in my area to spend time with. The shouting and arguing is mighty near a brawl sometimes and cuts out respect for our decision makers and influencers. Those were the good old days when reasoned behaviour was pretty much the norm. Thank you for so charmingly advising us to remember these golden points to help us present ourselves and deal with others. Maybe it will be catching and become fashionable again.

Sometimes I walk into the the ladies locker room at my gym and I'm astonished at the language that comes out of the mostly young women's mouths. I rarely hear this language from women that appear to be about 35 years old or older. This makes me think this younger generation has just not learned how to act as elegant women. We all could benefit from being taught proper etiquette, but I believe that true elegance is an innate quality, and not everyone has it, and that is okay. Some people are more relaxed and casual in their approach to life than poised and polished. We are all born with our natural characteristics. What is most important is that we stay true to who we really are. Otherwise, a more casual person comes off as putting on airs and a poised person comes off as condescending. True elegance is more than adopting a wardrobe, a proper dialect, and keeping your composure. It is a gracefulness that emanates from within, is an integral part of who you are, and it shows in every facet of your life. It's more than a lifestyle. It is who you truly are.

I'm glad I've found your channel. Such a good reminders for us ladies/woman to act rightfully towards our mannerism and daily catch up in life. You embodied a positive manner which is supposed to be a standard of a woman for being confident in a pros and cons situation in this cruel world. I definitely agreed with all the classy talks on this topic. I will follow it and keep it reminded as 6 of the qualities I believe are already on my system. So furthermore to expand and generate the other 4 remaining so that i can consider myself a classy woman of my own. Thanks to you and God bless❤

@@cherylmahalak8251 What I was trying to emphasise was that being elegant is only a very small part in being a true woman .It takes a lifetime. You wont be very elegant up to your knees in mud supporting your grandson in his football match, or scrubbing the floorboards with sugar soap to keep them going ! Lighten up, at 84, I know what I'm talking about. God Bless you all😘

You're so beautiful. I feel like you and I would make good friends. I try to carry myself as a lady at all times, and alot of women these days don't. So that leaves me with a small selection of women to befriend. Honestly, I feel that some obnoxious loud women see feminine classy women as a threat. They don't want to admit it, but they have a false sense of pride in who they are. Men love classy women though

I would like to add to this wonderful video the power of kindness. I haven't been well & honestly am not looking sharp ect, but went to the store for groceries & was kind to everyone I met, genuinely complimented the cashier on her very cool earrings & could tell that these incredibly small & seemingly insignificant things really uplifted people & they were often able to spread that positivity & brightness to the next person. I think above all have confidence in our presence & what that brings to the world is the classiest thing yet. Take care everyone. 💛

I work with customers all the time and my colleague said to me whilst we were talking that she had a customer who's over all appearance looked like a decent woman she was probably in her late 60s, dressed well and gave off that air of superiority (I'm not going to lie, people who know they are better off tend to show they have class in a snotty way) anyway there was a problem with her coupons and we either didn't accept them or something was wrong entering it into the till and my colleague said "oh and the language off this lady!" She couldn't believe it because this lady looked respectful and to be fair you don't really expect a refined person to behave like this. You can equally have someone of lower class who has all the respect and manners and kindness toward other people. If these are things that show you're classy perhaps we really shouldn't judge lower status. There are these short videos on Facebook all the time that just because someone is rich doesn't mean they are nice and some one who gets judged harshly by the way they present themselves are very honest, decent people!

You are correct, and I, personally, would rather associate with down to earth, decent people, than rich snobs, however I must say that many desperate folks, who do not have money, look lovely, and elegant, while I have seen folks whom are very well off, and look horrible. Some of them do not smell pleasant either. Different strokes for different folks. For myself, looking, and feeling clean, and attractive is very important, and I dress very well, but tend to wear beautiful fashionable pants alot. I also like wearing dresses, but it is quite cold here, at this time. I dislike snobs, and there are many of those types. I consider it a type of mental illness, but also, those who are lacking in personal hygiene, and are poorly dressed, often suffer from mental illness as well. I know of someone like that, whom actually wants to look horrible, and unsheltered, yet has money. I like him as a person because he is a Christian man, but I dislike his physical appearance, and body 'fragrance'. He does have medical issues, but so do I, and I look well off, and quite attractive. Appearances can be quite deceiving. People will always judge, if they are inclined that way, but a person of wisdom will see beyond the physical aspects, and will appreciate what is in the ❤.

@@deborahtruthseeker112 well actually, speaking of hygiene I know someone who was in my family and she pleaded poverty all the time, she went about with holes in her shoes and my Nan felt the need to dress her and help her look presentable but what she was doing was counting the pennies and she was actually very well off - we only realised this when she died and to me that's stupid, why have all this money if she can't buy herself a pair of decent shoes? But then, if she dressed well, and took the time with her appearance then she couldn't plead poverty all the time and people wouldn't feel sorry enough to help her. If she went out for a meal to a restaurant she'd immediately look for the fish and chips because they were the cheapest thing on the menu it was a standing joke that we'd have the chicken, or the gammon and someone else would have the mixed grill and she'd end up having the fish and chips. She'd tell us stories about how hard she was hard up in the war and how she had to share one ice-cream between her and her son but she dropped herself in it the once saying she had to cash in all her war cheques to buy her son Bob some shoes but she'd plead poverty to others. Even after the war she had some very disgusting habits and one of them was (perhaps to her) the price of incontinence pads and her solution was dry them on the radiator and reuse them thinking she's saving money but what she was doing was stinking her house out and that was going to go in her pants the next day so that would be making her smell and unhygienic for her bits. I think she'd probably clean herself in a morning but to put that back on - it's disgusting. She and her husband had options to move out of that house more than once and apparently she really wanted to move to a bungalow (well, that's what she said) and she never moved because they'd a sweet deal with the money coming in and the sad thing is all that money she never willed to her kids it went straight back to the state. The only time I ever heard she spent any of that money on herself was to go for four days to this particular hotel Nan told me about which was between 100 to 200 per night and that was the only thing she ever treated herself to because at Christmas time my Nan would put them up for 4 days and pay for any food but they were coming every year because they were getting a sweet deal out of it and the only reason that started it was because she made out she was hard up to my Nan and her immediate family was leaving her out so Nan included her!

@@alcudiababe1 OMG!!! Sounds like mental illness. There was a horrible looking man at a church I attended several years ago, with kind of long, greasy hair, and a worn out suit. He appeared to be poor, and people felt sorry for him. He was a real cheapskate. Then, he died, and the church found out he had well over one million dollars in the bank. I do not know who received that money, and he may have owned a house. Maybe the State of California, or something. Anyway, then there was someone known as 'cheap Bob', who was another one of those nuts, with a whole lot of money, and eating low quality food at a lousy Dennys eatery with his wife, but only on their wedding anniversary, I think. Then, there was a homeless man who died, and when he was taken to the County Coroner, the employees, or Coroner was wondering why his overcoat was so darned heavy. It turned out that the homeless man had one hundred dollar bills sewn into the lining of his coat, also totalling over one million dollars. I knew of a local former grocery store owner who was wealthy, and shoplifted. He told me that he did, and he is lucky I never turned him in, because he was well off, and did not even need to do that. Anyway, he was caught, and told NOT to set foot inside that market again, but when a new manager worked there, Ray went back to that store. Elderly people all tend to look alike, sometimes, so he may not even have been recognized by other employees. Who knows? This is all pure mental illness, and the relative you have described was an extremely sick woman. I take it she is dead now? I wonder who received all her loot? There are few excuses for having poor personal hygiene, and wearing terrible, raggedy clothing. Some people are without any class, nor shame at all. Totally disgusting!!!
