i suggest getting rid of chomp and putting head to head on. with all the other moves being target all you will not ever double attack unless you match up blaze ball. that however will play to an advantage as having a max head to head gene on top of the soul kinship will practically fill your kinship in one move. also its worth noting through my own testing that soul kinship actually stacks between the rider and the monstie. with soul kinship and hth on my rider and soul kinship on my monstie i fill nearly 3/4ths of the gauge. with another monster that only has head to head currently my head to head only did 1/2 the kinship gauge. might require a little more testing but seems to be the case. however, my point is that having soul kinship is great but there is also little reason not to get the bonus from hth when most all your monsties attacks will not trigger a double anyways.

Palamute! I love this build! The only thing I’ll say is I like a few cheaper options on my sets in order to fire off moves a bit earlier. May be weaker but extra chip goes a long way

That's actually very similar to my build. Only difference is I kept the Teo move you got rid of and have the Bazel Blast buff instead of Valiant Flare. May have to go and grab Valian Flare, though. Seems like the better buff.

Palamute. I was working on a Brachydios with very much the same goal of applying and detonating Blastblight. Teo is probably way stronger (I have yet to get one) but I like Brachy way more in terms of style. Little Mac training montage ftw. Not to mention, a team of blast focused monsters could lead to very quick detonations. Try to apply blast with the base kinship of one, then detonate with another's base kinship.

The gene you're thinking of is Uragaan's Detonator and you can get a second power bingo if you flip a few genes around. Better for PvE since you can win a double HtH with it too.

I'm in the same boat as Arekkz, in that I don't really like Teostra that much, if at all. Dunno why either, just never been a fan. But I can't wait for Hellblade or Dreadking to come out and give this a shot on them!

Is it better to use infliction up (XL) instead of booming raid since u already have Dust explosion which do high dmg randomly to all monsters and have high chance of inflict blast and cost less. Especially against elders where it hard to inflict status Ailments against them.

Nice build, but imo supernova is kinda redundant in pve, better to use that kinship charge to try inflict more blastblight. From my experience just the blastblight itself does the same dmg as supernova

Maybe it's just because I'm mostly a pve guy but I really don't like buff skills and typeless skills. Idunno, I just want to maximize head to heads and kinship skill spam baddies. Very cool build though

I agree and I'm wondering how builds like these are supposed to be good for PVE. Double attacks literally stop an enemy from attacking, so they are clearly superior in most situations, and only one move on this Teostra build (to my knowledge) can even activate them. (Chomp Gene (L) because it's a single target type ability)

Can you explain to me why the speed/power/tech attack options matter if they are all aoe and effectively do the same thing (apply Blastblight)? It is my understanding that you can't win head to heads or activate double attacks with aoe moves, so why does this matter? As far as I can tell, the ONLY move on this Teostra that could activate a head to head win or double attack would be Chomp Gene (L).

You can HtH with any typed move, including AoE moves. You are correct that you cannot double attack with them.

Hey :) so ALL moves that have a type you can still win head to heads and each moves is doing something different. bombing raid is a speed AoE blast light inflict while ignition breath is to detonate the blight. Then you have a cheap power attack which can double attack and crit on knock overs while supernova is your high cost massive damage move. Dust explosion is your blank AoE inflictor when you can’t afford bombing raid or can’t use the speed attack to do it.

A Question: Each Egg gets some random Bonus stats when they hatch. And Rainbow eggs get up to 3. Can you reach Max stats with the Boost items anyway or are lucky rolled stat Monsters better than ...well...The others? I want to minmax as good as possible.

I wouldn't worry too much 'bout those rainbow egg bonuses since they've minor flat buffs. Sure you can try to snag a Teo for example with +3 fire def and or +3 in fire attack but it doesn't make much difference. Now if it multiplied the higher the level of your monstie then it'd be worth it, otherwise it's a negligible buff.

I mean it's objectively the single best fire monstie in the game with no real competition right now. You can make Dreadqueen Rathian work if you really want to, but even a fully specced Dreadqueen isn't as good as a fully specced Teostra. That'll probably change when the Gold and Silver -los and Dreadking Rathalos drop, but as of now, Teostra is pretty much the only fire monstie you really can use.

I recommend giving them the blitz scroll, the umbrella, equipping a status weapon, and looking for the status attack up and ko king abilities. Dogs are pretty good, people will say cats are better, but dogs are really reliable when it comes to getting status procs and knockouts

It's cheaper (costs 30 kinship to use). XL costs 48 kinship. L costs 24, but is not AOE, but can at least crit (the other two cannot).
