But fr, women suffering in war, especially in the developing world, is unique, as it's often them that have to run away while caring for the children and the elderly(with all the risks that entails) while us men are often on the Frontline dying and killing each other and also, unfortunately, very frequently nowadays, said women...

Sudanese women aren't being enlisted into battle, this is true. But Sudanese women are still "soldiers", having to resist incredible amounts of violence, namely sexual. They have not been officially enlisted, but many Sudanese women have died a thousand deaths internally. They are soldiers too but with none of the recognition. The battleground is their bodies. Their fight is to protect their sisters, their mothers, their daughters, their own bodies.
