I did not choose my body at time of birth and I truly don't feel any evil in my heart and great love but still, so much hate comes towards me as a women simply because I am this gender. If you have taken bath, changed pad within last 2-3 hrs , cleaned private parts while changing. Or if you use silicon cup. Don't see any hygiene issues. At the end ofcourse hands and feet and face everyone washes just before entry.

The real truth about not entering into temples during periods not because menstruation is impure, inauspicious and papa. This is exactly the opposite. In sanatana dharma Menstruation is celebrated. The real reason behind this is Womens energy moves downwards during menses while the energy in the temple is always flowing upwards. Hence it creates the imbalance between energies. This is exactly why in the past, women do not cook in menses.

We should not listen to every old man who portrays himself as a knowledgeable person. Going to a temple during periods in outright ruled out by all our scriptures because temples store a lot of positive energy which needs to be preserved by every devotee in whichever way possible to him or her. The people who say they want to visit a temple during the menstrual days are the same women who usually don't go to a temple often on the other 27 days. So why make this an issue ? They can just rest at home and give first priority to their physical and mental health on those 3 days. Why should they cook , do house chores or any pujas on those 3 days also ? Can't we give them rest for those 3 days atleast ? Scriptures say that even if a woman does not do any puja on the menstrual days, it will still be counted as puja done by her. Infact they can happily listen to some good music, watch some movies and spend her "me" time. Other family members should support that woman on those days because she will be going through a lot both physically and mentally.

the problem is not with the temples or the rituals..but the problem is with the persons who belive in anything blindly. parampara vahi tak nibhana chaiye jaha tak vishwa ka kalyaan ho. Anybody who doesn't believe authority of Vedas and Shaastras is an atheist. Atheists are treated as idiots in Sanatana Dharma. Sanatana Dharma is not a collection of beliefs of ancient people who lived 5000 years ago, it's a collection of Knowledge gained by Rishis by doing tapasya for many years. That's why you'll find many scientific teachings in Shastras which were way ahead of its time. Anybody who doesn't teach what shastras say is not a guru and hence should not be followed.

God tells, you want to pray but at the same time very hungry, then first take your food, then pray for me. Because you are not faithful to both if you feel hungry and at the same time trying to pray. That is the reason when big puja event there is a break, and all pundits get up to fresh up themselves and have light breakfast and then once comfortable the next rituals start. Likewise women in these time need rest. So don't go for any unnecessary controversy and take care of your health and hygiene. Don't indulge with politics of unwanted argument as there is no need for it.

There is this concept that temples try to concentrate energy used for upper three chakras and for a woman in periods lower three chakras are active. Let us say all temple designs are like that which is not case in reality. How much time generally people spend in a temple 30 min to 45 min max. In that much time what will be issue? Also if women have to only think of three lower chakras in periods then women can't study or work during periods. But millions do. What women need is good yoga practice in life to counter imbalances not restrictions.

I'm an ayurvedic doctor and a spiritual practioner too, so i know why women were put on such restrictions....If i meditate or take bath in 1st 3 days my flow disrupts because of my high focus. Don't get trapped in pharmaceutical politics, do more research pls.

This is utterly a bullshit answer. For everything there are some rules have been established by rushis and great acharya. Temples are sacred places and positive energy places where it is helpful for the society and all beings in the world. If a person go to temple in their periods the whole positive environment will be changed to negative. There are too many people supported by hindu and nationalist platforms who are justifying all traditional practices like not touching anyone, not doing pooja, eat very little, not taking bath, god knows whether such people who follow this even clean their private organs while pad change or may be they don't use one... @ HinduAcademy The real reason behind women not visiting temples during menstrual cycle is because they at that time become very pure and are very much capable of attracting all kinds of energies around her.. So she visiting a temple could attract all the positivity of the temple which is good for the women but then the temple becomes a mere building... Then some rituals must be done to restore the positivity of the temples. This is the reason women should avoid visiting temples during menstruation. This is not to hurt anyone's feelings but it is the truth that I have learnt and also many women have experienced it. There are many videos that are coming up on this matter. Even this is partial reason. It does have effect on the body on the women. During menstruation, the energy of the body moves towards the lower region of the female body, in the downward direction. When we pray , chant mantras, the energy moves upwards from the lowest chakra of the body, mooldhara to swadishthana, to manipuraka, to anahata to vishuddhi to ajna to sahastara .. depending upon the sadhana.. which ulcreates disturbance in the body of the female. This js the technical spiritual scientific reason why women should avoid sadhana or spiritual practice during menstruation. The knowledge in those times were so vast that every information or scientific reason couldn't be carried the way it is.. hence it was combined with the culture and everyone practised pooja, prayed to the deities and could be easily folloed.. unfortunately nobody in those days knew today Bharat will be corrupt to the roots with n number of ideologies trying to rub off Sanatan Dharma our sanskriti

Sir but What happened with Sabarimala was not right. Sir Let me put this theory of mine about another topic. All this time in 70 years hindus had been away from their Shastras but due to Internet and reliance we know the real reason of our customs and traditions. Like Polygamy. For people who don't know . Shastras are divided into changeable Smriti and permanent Shruti. Laws are part of Shruti. So Polygamy and Polyandry was a part for a certain period of time for sure. Who started it and why, don't know the reason but one thing for sure that it wasn't sanctioned by Gods. Krishna himself said he was marrying not for selfish reasons but for the compliances he had to do. Then people say Vedas sanction Patriarchy cause he have no Goddesses having multiple Husbands. For them my answer - Krishna himself didn't do polygamy for selfish reasons nor did Draupadi. Krishna is considered God in the mainstream cause he did so many extraordinary things. I believe it was the product of the patriarchical society formed after the life of these peole that put Stories of Krishna as God being polygamous in mainstream and Draupadi as a Goddess in backfoot. But if you research then you will find that Draupadi was also considered as an incarnation of Adi Shakti and Goddess Kali. There are tribals in India who worship the Pandavas and Draupadi in Himachal. I chose to see through the lens of Love for our Gods rather than marxism or Feminism alone. However, women are free to pray, chant the holy name, the hare krishna mahamantra even in her periods, she can take advantage of the biggest mantra. But they are not allowed to visit the temple, it is not because of any health reasons but to maintain the purity of the temple, not just women, men are also not allowed inside the temple when there is a birth or death in the family, all these are restrictions to maintain the purity of the temple. To add further, these restrictions are not against men or women, but as per vedas, this material world is very impure like our body, full of blood, sweat, and enzymes, puzz etc. We dont belong here, our soul belongs to the spiritual sky. Hence atleast the temple must be maintained as pure as possible.
