It wasn’t an old serious film, it was just a joke programme in the 90s. I’m not sure that people who aren’t brought up in the UK gets our sense of humour usually

Just in case no one else has said but this was from a comedy scetch show from the 1990s. They did a series of these black and white ones, where they mock those old govt information films from those times. In fairness I would think that this would be funny even back then.

When the conversation turns to more serious matters, the women should remain quiet and agree with a man's superior understanding and intellect. The problem here is that the lady was quite right in what she said and should be applauded, rather than dragged from her seat and sent home.
