I feel that way in friendships as well. Sometimes you can be friends with someone and everything is stable (yet boring to them). However the friend may drop you for another friend or group who has more money, more power, prestige, celebrity connections or more exciting=chaotic. The friend calls it growing apart or glowing up. These types of women then go on to complain about financial hardships, loneliness, and recollecting how good their now ex spouses were to them, suddenly realizing how the grass was not greener on the other side after all.
