What is Women Making Waves?
Women Making Waves is Boating and Fishing Industry’s effort to recognize the multitude of women in the industry who have made and continue to make great contributions to its success, propel its growth and lead their organizations and peers into the future.
Our goal as a Wave Makers is to make our on space in the outdoors. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, women make up almost 51% of the U.S. population. Yet they compose only 36% of this nation’s fishing participants.
The Recreational Boating and Fishing Foundation, the folks behind Take Me Fishing, is committed to spreading the joy of fishing and boating to all ages, genders and cultures; we envision one nation united in our passion for fishing and boating. A nation committed to the pursuit of leisure activity on the water. A nation that embraces our fishing and boating heritage, and conserves, restores and protects the resources that sustain it. We believe the water is open to everyone.

Great video ,I am all for any program that connects anglers and/or introduces people to sport fishing. My Best memories are on the water. Most people don't know they'll love fishing...til they feel that tug. That "tug" can't happen without a fishing rod in their hand. Tight Lines &Safe travels! ✌️

Like I said before and I’ll say it again you are an incredible person Ashley with drive ambition and a love for fishing and also a gift for organizing groups I’d like to propose a challenge for you to reach out to Washington state fish of wildlife and Oregon fish and wildlife and California and to set up a fishing excursion for all of the directors that make a decision on fish and wildlife the reason I suggest this when I watch the zoom videos of the decision making process that the board members and directors make it is extremely obvious that the majority of these individuals have no idea about the fishing or wildlife that they are making decisions on once again thank you for sharing your life with us have a blessed day

Now you need to work on having women as boat captains and instructors at conventions like this. The guys really stood out in this video. How many female guides are there to pull from on the west coast? Not many I'm aware of with you being the lone exception.
